On the way to Yazd, I pass a desert with large sand dunes. First, I still try on a dry salt lake to drive. Except for the return trip everything went well. It has not rained for a whole summer, but only a few centimetres below the tried out ground is a thick layer of mud. In this I have exactly dug my bike. This time of the most terrible one and I had to remove everything possible from the motorbike to reduce weight. I could just dig out the bike and continue.
I went to stay in the desert nearby and first pitched the tent next really big sand dunes.

Auf dem Weg nach Yazd, komme ich an einer Wüste mit grossen Sanddünen vorbei. Zuerst versuche ich noch auf einem ausgetrockneten Salzsee zu fahren. Bis auf die Rückfahrt ging alles gut. Es hat einen Sommer lang nicht geregnet, doch nur wenige Zentimeter unter dem ausgetrocknetem Boden ist eine dicke Schlammschicht vorhanden. In dieser habe ich exakt mein Motorrad eingegraben. Diesmal von der übleren Sorte und ich musste alles was möglich vom Töff entfernen um das Gewicht zu reduzieren. Gerade noch konnte ich das Bike wieder ausgraben und weiterfahren.
Zum Übernachten bin ich in die nahe gelegene Wüste gefahren und erstmals das Zelt neben richtig grossen Sanddünen aufgeschlagen.
