27.11.2016        Puno, PE       Km: 138270              New altitude record / Neuer Höhenrekord

Without anything break I can take off today. First, it is tough to get through the city and then into the mountains. Arequipa is located at 3800 meters above sea level and I reach more than 4000 meters soon. But it goes even further, until I am on a pass to nearly 5000 meters. This is a new record, because I have never been so high. I notice that the air is thin and also the bike has to work hard. Then it was cool and only 5 degrees. As I go down on the other side it starts to rain and it is really uncomfortable.
For me it is the first rain since 122 days. I also hardly saw clouds in the last 92 days. I continue to Puno and look for a place to stay.

Ohne dass noch etwas mehr defekt geht kann ich heute losfahren. Zuerst geht es mühsam durch die Stadt und dann in die Berge. Arequipa liegt auf 3800 Meter über Meer und so erreiche ich bald über 4000 Meter. Doch es geht noch weiter, bis ich auf einem Pass auf fast 5000 Meter bin. Dies ist ein neuer Höhenrekord, denn noch nie war ich so hoch oben. Ich merke, dass die Luft dünn ist und entsprechen hat auch der Töff Mühe die Steigungen hinauf zu kommen. Dann ist es auch kühl geworden und nur noch 5 Grad. Als ich auf der anderen Seite herunter fahre beginnt es noch leicht zu regnen und entsprechend unangenehm ist es auf dem Töff.

Für mich ist es der Erste Regen seit 122 Tagen. Auch Wolken habe ich in den letzten 92 Tagen kaum gesehen. Ich fahre noch weiter bis Puno und suche mir eine Unterkunft.

26.11.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137843              Again broken Laptop / Wieder defekter Laptop

Today I want to go on and do the last work on the bike. Then I realize that I cannot load the laptop anymore. This I had once and I make a backup immediately. Then I try to repair the cable. Unfortunately without success! I go into a specialty store but they cannot help. In another store I find a power supply and test my laptop. Now it is clear that the laptop is no longer repairable.
I consider if I should buy a new one. I decide for a new one because I work a lot with it. So I look for the computer market and find a whole street with many shops. Unfortunately, it is already late, so most have already closed. So I go again the next morning and find by chance 2 very good offers. I decide for the slightly smaller laptop and go back immediately to restore the data and install necessary updates and configure everything.
Now I can go on, or …

Heute will ich weiterfahren und mache noch die letzten Arbeiten am Motorrad. Dann stelle ich fest, dass ich den Laptop nicht mehr laden kann. Dies hatte ich schon einmal und ich mache sofort ein Backup. Dann versuche ich das Kabel zu reparieren. Leider ohne Erfolg! Ich gehe in ein Fachgeschäft aber die können nicht weiterhelfen. In einem anderen Laden finde ich eine Stromversorgung und teste den meinen Laptop. Nun ist klar, dass der Laptop nicht mehr zu reparieren ist.

Ich überlege ob ich einen Neuen kaufen soll. Ich entscheide mich für einen neuen, da ich viel damit arbeite. Also suche ich den Computer Markt und finde eine ganze Strasse mit vielen Geschäften. Leider ist es schon spät, so dass die meisten bereits geschlossen haben. Also gehe ich am nächsten Morgen nochmals und finde per Zufall 2 sehr gute Angebote. Ich entscheide mich für den etwas kleineren Laptop und gehe sofort zurück um die Daten zu restoren und nötige Updates zu installieren und alles zu konfigurieren.

Nun kann ich also weiterreisen, oder…

23.11.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137843              Francesca and Leonardo going home / Francesca und Leonardo gehen nach Hause

For Francesca and Leonardo, it is time to go home again. It was agreed that she would visit me only for a certain time and now the time is there. For me, unfortunately much too early. Francesca begins to pack and I play again with Leonardo. Then we go to the airport together and say goodbye.
I just drive back to the hostel and feel lonely. It will take me a while to get used to traveling alone again. It also has its advantages, because now I am much more flexible and can do quite different things. Let’s see where the journey will lead me…

Für Francesca und Leonardo ist es Zeit, wieder nach Hause zu gehen. Es war abgemacht, dass sie mich nur für eine bestimmte Zeit besucht und nun ist der Zeitpunkt da. Für mich leider viel zu früh. Francesca beginnt zu packen und ich spiele nochmals mit Leonardo. Dann fahren wir gemeinsam zum Flughafen und verabschieden uns.

Alleine fahre ich zurück ins Hostel und fühle mich einsam. Es wird eine Weile dauern, bis ich mich wieder daran gewöhnt habe alleine zu Reisen. Es hat aber auch seine Vorteile, denn jetzt bin ich viel Flexibler und kann ganz andere Sachen machen. Mal sehen wohin mich die Reise führen wird…

20.11.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137818              Doing nothing / Nichts machen

There is still not much to do and so we plan something for our future. When traveling and afterwards. But I know that there will be much more to change, because on my journey the plan has not been stable for more than a few months.
In between I watch to local festivals. The highlight is the daily shopping. So we have something to do and Leonardo has fun in the supermarket with everything to play.
But we will not be able to rest for a long time, because soon we will continue…

Es gibt immer noch nicht viel zu machen und so planen wir etwas unsere Zukunft. Beim Reisen und danach. Aber ich weiss, dass sich da noch viel verändern wird und auf meiner Reise die Planung nie länger als ein paar Monate stimmte.

Zwischendurch schaue ich mir lokale Feste an und spiele ich viel mit Leonardo, der sich mehr und mehr entwickelt. Da wir sonst nicht viel zu machen haben, ist unser Highlight das tägliche einkaufen. So haben wir etwas zu tun und Leonardo hat Spass im Supermarkt mit allem zu spielen.

Wir werden aber nicht mehr lange ausruhen können, denn bald geht es weiter…

15.11.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137798              Tire and oil change / Reifen und Öl Wechsel

Since a longer time I should change the tire. This time it is the front one and I have already bought a long ago a new one and must therefore only change it. This I do right in the hotel and do not last long. So I have time to do other work. Check carburetor and test coupling. I realize that a bearing must be exchanged. I will order a new one and change later.
Otherwise there is not much to do and so we all rest. Let’s see for how long…

Seit längerem steht ein Reifenwechsel an. Es ist diesmal der vordere und ich habe schon vor längerem einen gekauft und muss ihn also nur wechseln. Dies mache ich gleich im Hotel und dauert nicht lange. So habe ich noch Zeit andere Arbeiten zu machen. Vergaser kontrollieren und Kupplung testen. Ich stelle fest, dass noch ein Lager getauscht werden muss. Ich werde ein neues bestellen und später wechseln.

Sonst gibt’s nicht viel zu machen und somit ruhen wir alle etwas aus. Mal sehen wie lange noch…

10.11.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137793               Clutch repair / Kupplungsreparatur

Because we are a long time in Arequipa, it is exactly the time to take further work on the bike. I want to modify the clutch for a long time, because the coupling springs have become weak and cause a rattling. Hugo from the local motorcycle club helps me find a mechanic. There I can drill holes and cut a thread. Then I put in the new springs and screwed everything back together. Unfortunately, I have another rattling and I open the engine again to find out what this is. I think I have found the part and will order a new one.
Otherwise we will not do much because Leonardo makes us busy. Having breakfast, bathing, sleeping, shopping, cooking lunch, taking a walk, sleeping, playing and walking, bathing, sleeping, …

Da wir eine längere Zeit in Arequipa sind, ist es genau der Zeitpunkt um weitere Arbeiten Am Töff vor zu nehmen. Die Kupplung will ich schon seit längerem modifizieren, denn die Kopplungsfedern sind schwach geworden und verursachen ein klappern. Hugo vom lokalen Motorradclub hilft mir einen Mechaniker zu finden. Dort kann ich Löcher bohren und ein Gewinde schneiden. Dann setzte ich die neuen Federn ein und schraube alles wieder zusammen. Leider habe ich danach ein anderes Klappern und ich öffne den Motor nochmals um heraus zu finden woran dies liegt. Ich denke ich habe das Teil gefunden und werde ein neues bestellen.

Sonst machen wir nicht viel, da Leonardo uns beschäftigt. Morgenessen machen, Baden, Schlafen, einkaufen, Mittagessen kochen, Spaziergang machen, Schlafen, Spaziergang machen, Nachessen kochen, Baden, Schlafen, …

3.11.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137787               Time is up / Zeit ist abeglaufen

When I planned my trip, I thought I was around the world in about 2 ½ years. I soon realized that I would need much longer. This does not matter, because I made the budget for 3 ½ years. I have summarized the costs, kilometers and time in a diagram, so I can always see where I am standing. Today I have now reached the 3 ½ years and actually my journey would have to end today! (See red line).

At the moment I am in the middle of South America and therefore still far from home and it is still missing many kilometers (see blue line). In addition, I have expected too few kilometers. My planning says that I should now have around 100’000Km, but I already have 140’000km.

The luck is that I need less money than assumed (see black line). So I can go a little further. As it goes exactly further I know not yet. For the next time we will have a rest again in Arequipa for a while.

Als ich meine Reise plante, dachte ich, dass ich in ca. 2 ½ Jahren einmal um die Welt gefahren bin. Ich merkte bald, dass ich viel länger brauchen werde. Dies spielt aber nicht so eine Rolle, da ich das Budget für 3 ½ Jahre machte. Ich habe die Kosten, Kilometer und Zeit in einem Diagramm zusammengefasst, so dass ich jederzeit sehen kann wo ich gerade stehe. Heute habe ich nun die 3 ½ Jahre erreicht und eigentlich müsste meine Reise heute zu Ende sein! (siehe rote Linie).

Zurzeit bin ich in der Mitte von Südamerika und somit noch weit von Zuhause entfernt und es fehlen noch viele Kilometer (siehe blaue Linie). Zudem habe ich zu wenig Kilometer gerechnet. Meine Planung sagt, dass ich jetzt um die 100‘000Km haben sollte, jedoch habe ich bereits 140‘000km.

Das Glück ist, das ich weniger Geld brauche als angenommen (siehe schwarze Linie). So kann ich noch ein Wenig weiterreisen. Wie es aber genau weiter geht weiss ich auch noch nicht. Wir werden wieder eine kleine Pause machen und uns in Arequipa etwas ausruhen.

30.10.2016        Arequipa, PE       Km: 137787               Fantastic scenery / Fantastische Landschaft

Our journey continues southwards and we go through great landscapes. Too bad I cannot stop and take photos. The reason for this is that Leonardo sleeps while driving and as soon as I stop, he wakes up. Then Francesca is in a very bad mood and I want to avoid that. So I can only record with the helmet camera and right now I have the camera mounted incorrectly, so the image is not optimal. But it does not matter, because our trip is different with Leonardo and I can take nice photos later.

Unsere Reise geht weiter Richtung Süden und wir fahren durch tolle Landschaften. Schade ist, dass ich nicht anhalten kann und Fotos machen kann. Der Grund dafür ist, dass Leonardo während des Fahrens schläft und sobald ich anhalte, wacht er auf. Dann ist Francesca in sehr schlechter Stimmung und das will ich vermeiden. Darum kann ich nur mit der Helmkamera aufzeichnen und genau jetzt habe ich die Kamera falsch montiert, so dass der Bildausschnitt nicht optimal ist. Ist aber egal, denn unsere Reise ist mit Leonardo anders und ich kann später einmal schöne Fotos machen.

27.10.2016        Nazca, PE       Km: 137196               Nazca Lines / Nazca Linien

We reach Nazca and for sure we look at the lines. There is not much to see from the street, so we go on a small hill and can look at some lines to the horizon. We do not want a flight, because apparently many of the aircraft crash.
In the evening I want do some cooking and the stove brakes again. But I have a good idea how I can adapt the new stove to the old gasoline bottle. I remove the sealing cap and make a new seal. And it works! I am happy that I can now use the new stove and I have not bought it in vain. I keep the old one as a souvenir and try to repair it at home. Francesca and I were wondering how often I used the stove. I calculate together and come on over 1000 times!

Wir erreichen Nazca und schauen uns natürlich die Linien an. Von der Strasse sieht man nicht viel und so gehen wir auf einen kleinen Hügel und können einige Linien bis an den Horizont anschauen. Wir verzichten auf einen Flug, da scheinbar viele der Flugzeuge abstürzen.

Am Abend will ich etwas Kochen und der Stove geht dabei wieder kaputt. Mir kommt aber eine gute Idee wie ich den neuen Kocher an die alte Benzinflasche anpassen kann. Ich entferne die Dichtkappe und mache eine neue Dichtung. Und es funktioniert! Ich bin glücklich dass ich nun den neuen Kocher benutzen kann und ich ihn nicht vergebens gekauft habe. Den Alten behalte ich als Souvenir und versuche ihn Zuhause zu reparieren. Francesca und ich haben uns gefragt, wie oft ich den Kocher schon benutzt habe. Ich Rechne zusammen und komme auf über 1000 Mal!

26.10.2016        Huacachina, PE       Km: 137026               Stopover/ Zwischenstop

It’s time to go on. But we do not come far, because we stop in Huacachina. Huacachina is an oasis in the middle of sand dunes. I do not like it so much, because it is more of a tourist trap. The sand dunes are drawn from the many vehicles that bring the tourist into the dunes.
Then my stove breaks. This time the pump is broken and I start to repair. I make a washer to attach the leather membrane to the pump rod again. Unfortunately it does not work properly. So I decide to use the stove we bought in Australia and still carry with us. Unfortunately, the bottle does not fit and so it happens that during the cooking, gasoline sprays out and makes a one-meter-high flame. I am lucky that I can extinguish the fire and the plastic parts on the stove do not melt. I am still trying to repair the old stove and I have success so that we can cook hot water for Leonardo’s bath.

Es ist Zeit weiter zu fahren. Wir kommen aber nicht weit, da wir in Huacachina stoppen. Huacachina ist eine Oase inmitten Sanddünen. Mir gefällt es nicht so gut, da es mehr eine Touristen Falle ist. Die Sanddünen sind von den vielen Fahrzeugen gezeichnet.

Dann geht mein Kocher noch kaputt. Diesmal ist die Pumpe defekt und ich beginne zu reparieren. Ich fertige eine Unterlagscheibe um die Ledermembrane wieder an der Pumpstange zu befestigen. Leider funktioniert es nicht richtig. So entscheide ich mich, den Kocher, den wir in Australien gekauft haben und immer noch mit uns mitschleppen, zu verwenden. Leider passt die Flasche nicht und so passiert es, das während des Kochens, Benzin herausspritzt und eine ein Meter hohe Stichflamme macht. Ich habe Glück, dass ich das Feuer löschen kann und die Plastikteile nicht schmelzen. Ich mache noch einen Versuch um den alten Kocher zu reparieren und es gelingt mir, so dass wir heisses Wasser für Leonardos Bad kochen können.

23.10.2016        Paracas, PE       Km: 136951               Soon continue / Bald weiterfahren

We have been here for 3 weeks now, which is almost a record and definite time to travel further. But just now, friends are coming in, whom I have already met on the Stahlratte. We spend time with Nathan and Pablo and it’s nice to see them again. In this time I did nothing for myself. Actually, we want to go on comfortably and now we have to look that I can still do everything that is necessary. That would be: tire change, stove repair, blog entries, shopping, laundry and taking photos. In the whole 3 weeks I took almost no photos. Let’s see what’s going on in front of the camera…

Wir sind jetzt seit 3 Wochen hier, was fast Rekord ist und definitive Zeit um weiter zu reisen. Aber gerade jetzt treffen Freunde ein, die ich schon auf der Stahlratte kennengelernt habe. Wir verbringen Zeit mit Nathan und Pablo und es macht Spass sie die wieder zu sehen. Dadurch habe ich nicht für mich gemacht. Eigentlich wollen wir gemütlich weiterfahren und nun wir müssen schauen, dass ich noch alles erledigen kann was nötig ist. Das wäre: Reifenwechsel, Kocher reparieren, Blog Einträge, Einkaufen, Waschen und Fotos machen. In den ganzen 3 Wochen habe ich fast keine Fotos gemacht. Mal sehen was noch vor die Kamera springt…

17.10.2016        Paracas, PE       Km: 136857                Still doing nothing / Immer noch nichts machen

The weather and the people are pleasant and so we just stay here and still do nothing. Even if I have a lot to do, we do not let ourselves be stressed and just enjoy nothing to do. Every third day we go shopping and while Leonardo makes his morning and afternoon sleep, we look at a movie. From time to time I write a blog and work on the planning.
In between we make walks along the promenade and Leonardo is the superstar. The Latins love the little man with blond hair and blue eyes. Many want to take him in his arms and almost everyone knows his name. Every time I do the evening walk, countless calls his name and want to tell him good night. Sometimes it is too much for him and he does not like all the paparazzi. Then we look for a side street and watch the stray dogs. When he wants to play with them, he tears on fur, tail and ears. The dogs know him in the meantime, and so they make a wide arc around him.

Das Wetter und die Leute sind angenehm und so bleiben wir einfach hier und machen immer noch nichts. Auch wenn ich noch vieles zu erledigen hätte, lassen wir uns nicht stressen und geniessen einfach nichts zu machen. Jeden 3. Tag gehen wir einkaufen und während Leonardo sein Morgen und Nachmittagsschlaf macht, schauen wir uns einen Film an. Ab und zu einen Blog schreiben und etwas an der Planung arbeiten.

Zwischendurch machen wir Spaziergänge an der Promenade und dabei ist Leonardo der Superstar. Die Latiner lieben den kleinen Mann mit blonden Haaren und blauen Augen. Viele wollen ihn auf den Arm nehmen und fast jeder kennt seinen Namen. Jedes Mal wenn ich den Abendspaziergang mache, rufen unzählige sein Namen und wollen ihm gute Nacht sagen. Manchmal ist es ihm zu viel und er mag die Paparazzi nicht besonders. Dann suchen wir eine Seitenstrasse und schauen den streunenden Hunden zu. Wenn er mit ihnen spielen will, reisst er am Fell, Schwanz und Ohren herum. Die Hunde kennen ihn aber und so machen sie einen weiten Bogen um ihn herum.

10.10.2016        Paracas, PE       Km: 136787                Doing nothing / Nichts machen

We have found a much better hostel than in Huanchaco and the owners are also very nice. So we can after the first night in a larger room. And they also bring the big bed to this room. The bed must however first be completely disassembled and then re-assembled in our room. We also have a kitchen, which we only use in the evening, since it is cheaper in the restaurant than when we do everything ourselves. I should make some more on the Bike, but I postpone it to later. That means we are doing NOTHING. An exception is, of course, Leonardo with whom we play a lot but also leave his freedom.
Let’s see when we do something again…

Wir haben ein viel besseres Hostel als in Huanchaco gefunden und die Besitzer sind auch super nett. So können wir nach der ersten Nacht in ein grösseres Zimmer. Und sie bringen auch das grosse Bett in dieses Zimmer. Das Bett muss aber zuerst komplett auseinander genommen werden und dann in unserem Zimmer neu zusammengebaut werden. Wir haben auch eine Küche, die wir aber nur am Abend benutzen, da es im Restaurant günstiger ist als wenn wir alles selber einkaufen. Ich sollte noch einiges am Töff machen, ich verschiebe es aber auf später. Das bedeutet, dass NICHTS machen. Eine Ausnahme ist natürlich Leonardo mit dem wir viel spielen, aber auch seine Freiheiten lassen.

Mal sehen wann wir wieder etwas machen…

03.10.2016        Paracas, PE       Km: 136677                 Travel on / Weiterreisen

We reach the coast after additional 2 hours in the city, and continue on the Pan American further south. In San Bartolo we want to stay and look for a hotel. Unfortunately it’s not season, constantly cloudy, cold and the hotels closed. We just find one and negotiate out a prize. When we have everything in the room, the woman comes back to us says the owner wants to speak with us. Francesca talks to him on the phone and he says it costs more to stay here. We like to take off immediately, but Leonardo is taking his bath. So Francesca tells him “no” and hangs up. In the meantime I have disassembled the power supply from the laptop and noticed that the cable is broken. This I can provisionally repair and am glad that it is just the cable.
The next day we are happy to be able to continue our journey and so we end up in Paracas. We find an accommodation that suits us and plan to stay longer here.
Let’s see when we get bored again…

Wir erreichen nach weiteren 2 Stunden in der Stadt, die Küste und fahren wieder auf  der Pan American weiter nach Süden. In San Bartolo wollen wir übernachten und suche ein Hotel. Leider ist hier nicht Saison, ständig bewölkt, kalt und die Hotels geschlossen. Wir finden gerade noch eines und handeln einen Preis aus. Als wir im Zimmer alles eingerichtet haben, kommt die Frau wieder uns sagt der Besitzer will mit uns sprechen. Francesca spricht mit ihm am Telefon und er sagt, dass es mehr kostet um hier zu übernachten. Eigentlich wollen wir gleich wieder ausziehen, doch Leonardo nimmt gerade sein Bad. So sagt Francesca ihm „no“ und hängt auf. Ich habe unterdessen die Stromversorgung vom Laptop aufgemacht und stelle fest, dass das Kabel defekt ist. Dies kann ich provisorisch reparieren und bin froh, dass es ‚nur‘ das Kabel ist.

Am nächsten Tag freuen wir uns weiterreisen zu können und so enden wir in Paracas. Wir finden eine Unterkunft die für uns passt und planen etwas länger hier zu bleiben.

Mal sehen wann uns wieder langweilig wird…

30.9.2016        Lima, PE       Km: 136345                 Together again / Wieder zusammen

I have coped well with the height difference. But my laptop is broken, probably only the power supply. Accordingly, I have a bad mood and want to buy a new laptop immediately.
But first I have to pick up Francesca and Leonardo at the airport. Francesca does not want Leonardo has too much stress during the travels. And so she took the plane to travel the 600 km from Trujillo to Lima. They arrive on time in Lima and we continue straight ahead. Unfortunately, the traffic in Lima is not so pleasant, so we did not go very fast. We stop for lunch and play with Leonardo. Unfortunately, we still have half the city in front of us and I do not know when we are finally out of the city…

Ich habe den Höhenunterschied gut verkraftet. Dafür ist mein Laptop defekt, resp. Die Stromversorgung. Entsprechend habe ich eine schlechte Stimmung und will gleich einen neuen Laptop kaufen.

Doch zuerst muss ich Francesca und Leonardo am Flughafen abholen. Francesca möchte nicht, dass Leonardo zu viel Stress während der Reisen hat. Und so hat sie den Flieger genommen um die 600 Km von Trujillo nach Lima zu reisen. Sie kommen pünktlich in Lima an und wir fahren gleich weiter. Leider ist der Verkehr in Lima nicht so angenehm, so dass wir nicht sehr schnell vorankommen. Wir halten an um Mittag zu essen und mit Leonardo zu spielen.  Leider haben wir noch die halbe Stadt vor uns und ich weiss nicht wann wir endlich raus aus der Stadt sind…

29.9.2016        Conococha, PE       Km: 136205                 Altitude record / Höhenrekord

I slept well despite the sudden difference in altitude. It’s even higher up from Caraz. Meanwhile, I am stopped again by the police because I did not switch on the light. This time without any problems. Then I reach a new altitude record on my journey. 4130 meters above sea level. The pass is not so spectacular, but the landscape is wonderful. Unfortunately, I cannot see the ‘Paramount Mountain’ from the road, because I want to go quickly to Lima. This brings me to another experience. Within a few hours, downhill from over 4000 m, at sea level.
Let’s see if I can handle the altitude change well …

Ich habe trotz dem plötzlichen Höhenunterschied gut geschlafen und fahre weiter. Es von Caraz noch weiter hinauf. Zwischendurch werde ich wieder von der Polizei gestoppt weil ich das Licht nicht anhatte. Diesmal aber ohne Probleme. Dann erreiche ich einen neuen Höhenrekord auf meiner Reise. 4130 Meter über Meer. Der Pass ist nicht so spektakulär. Aber die Landschaft ist wundervoll. Leider kann ich den ‚Paramount-Berg‘ nicht von der Strasse sehen, denn ich will schnell weiter nach Lima. Dies bringt mich zu einem anderen Erlebnis. Innerhalb von einigen Stunden, herunterfahren von über 4000 MüM, auf Meereshöhe.

Mal sehen ob ich den Höhen unterschied gut verkraften kann…

I feel good enough to continue driving. So I leave Francesca and Leonardo back and move into the mountains. But first I’m stopped by the police, since I have not switched on the light. This time, I choose the variant, speak only Swiss German. He asks me first where I come from and thinks I understand German. Than he says something like: ‘Penalty’ and ‘200 dollars’. But I still do not understand him. Then he wants the original passport and I tell him that he is at the embassy because of the visa. I notice how he gets weaker and so I tell him in Swiss German that I’m going now and take the copies out of his hand. He still looks to his colleague and the wave that I can continue. Yeeaahhhh J
Then it goes on a narrow road into the mountains and it has many small tunnels. Also the landscape is fantastic and it is really fun to drive here. I stop in Caraz and meet a Swiss couple who are traveling with the bicycles. Together we eat supper and then I get tired to bed.

Ich fühle mich gut genug um weiter zu fahren. So lasse ich Francesca und Leonardo zurück und fahre in die Berge. Doch zuerst werde ich noch von der Polizei gestoppt, da ich das Licht nicht eingeschalten habe. Diesmal wähle ich die Variante ‚nur Schweizerdeutsch sprechen‘. Er fragt mich als erstes woher ich komme und denkt ich verstehe deutsch. So nimmt er sein Telefon und übersetzt, dass ich eine Busse von 700 Euro bezahlen muss. Natürlich verstehe ich ihn nicht und gebe ihm nur Kopien der Dokumente. Dass sagt er etwas von ‚Penalty‘ und 200$. Aber ich verstehe ihn immer noch nicht. Dann will er den originalen Pass und ich sage ihm, dass er auf der Botschaft ist, wegen dem Visum. Ich merke wie er schwächer wird und so sage ich ihm auf Schweizer Deutsch, dass ich jetzt gehe und nehme ihm die Kopien aus der Hand. Er schaut noch zu seinem Kollegen und der Winkt das ich weiterfahren kann. Yeeaahhhh J

Dann geht’s auf einer schmalen Strasse immer weiter in die Berge und es hat viele kleine Tunnels. Auch die Landschaft ist fantastisch und es macht richtig Spass hier zu fahren. Ich stoppe in Caraz und treffe noch ein Schweizer Paar, das mit den Fahrrädern unterwegs ist. Zusammen gehen wir Nachtessen und ich dann müde ins Bett.

Today we go again in the city to do again shopping. We are stopped by the police and have to go back, because I have all the papers in the hostel. Then our favorite restaurant is closed and I’m a little sick. Leonardo seems to be teething and Francesca has problems with her home in Italy….
But the next day everything will be better. Most Germans travel further and more Americans, Latinos and English are now in the hostel. And suddenly there was hot water for showers again, the Internet is working again, the mess in the kitchen is gone and everything is less hectic. In addition, the people say again “good morning”….
Although it is now again pleasant to be here, we want to keep the plan and move soon. Because I feel not well, we extend again one day and want to continue tomorrow.
Let’s see if it works…

Heute gehen wir nochmals in die Stadt um das letzte Mal ein zu kaufen. Dabei werden wir von der Polizei gestoppt und müssen zurück, da ich alle Papiere im Hostel habe. Dann hat noch unser Lieblingsrestaurant zu und ich werde etwas Krank. Leonardo scheint am Zahnen zu sein und Francesca hat Probleme mit ihrer Wohnung in Italien….

Am nächsten Tag wird aber alles besser. Die meisten Deutschen reisen weiter und mehr Amerikaner, Latinos und Engländer sind nun im Hostel. Und auf einmal hat es wieder warmes Wasser zum Duschen, das Internet funktioniert wieder, die Unordnung in der Küche ist weg und alles ist weniger Hektisch. Zudem wird wieder „guten Morgen“ gesagt….

Auch wenn es jetzt wieder angenehmer ist hier zu sein, wollen wir am Plan festhalten und bald weiter. Da ich mich noch nicht gut fühle verlängern wir nochmals um einen Tag und wollen morgen weiter.

Mal sehen ob das klappt…

We are still in Huanchaco. We have said that we want to stay one month long somewhere. On the whole trip we’ve never stopped for a longer time. The longest is due 3 weeks in the same place. The three weeks we have reached here soon and it is a bit boring too. In addition, there is the Hostel this week full of Germans and that’s really exhausting. Especially disturbing us the chaos and not washed dishes in the kitchen. So we plan the next step to continue traveling soon. Let’s see where this leads us to the path…

Wir sind immer noch in Huanchaco. Wir haben einmal gesagt, dass wir einen Monat lang irgendwo bleiben wollen. Auf der ganzen Reise haben wir da bisher noch nie gemacht. Das längste ist 3 Wochen am selben Ort. Die 3 Wochen haben wir hier bald erreicht und es ist auch etwas langweilig. Zudem ist da Hostel in dieser Woche voll mit Deutschen und das ist richtig anstrengend. Vor allem stören uns das Chaos und das nicht abgewaschene Geschirr in der Küche. So planen wir den nächsten Schritt um bald weiter reisen zu können. Mal sehen wohin uns der Weg führt…

14.9.2016        Huanchaco, PE       Km: 135345                 Daily schedule / Tagesablauf

Francesca and I have decided that we remain a long time in one place and do nothing. But with a child there is no way. We have the whole day full program going and I wonder how we could to travel in the past.
We are currently in a hostel so that we also have a kitchen. In the morning we do breakfast for Leonardo and a coffee for us. Then play something and discuss the daily schedule. Today, for example, we go shopping. Normally Leonardo makes pooh-pooh in the morning and so I bathe him and Francesca prepares the bottle. Then she rudely forces him to sleep 😉 and we can watch a movie or I’m working on the computer or we sleep. Then we drive to Trujillo and there already is nearly 12 o’clock, we go straight to a restaurant. They have delicious menus for $ 2.5. After we ate, we go to the supermarket and buy for the next 2-3 days. In the supermarket we let Leonardo running around and give him the fun to take everything off the shelves and distribute in the supermarket. Fantastic is also the toy department, where Leonardo can play with everything without having to buy something 🙂
After shopping we go back home so Leonardo can make his nap. During this time I have some time to rest. Then I go with Leonardo to the beach and do a little walk. When we get back I start to cook and then we eat. Then I can again do something with him and from 19:47 am I’m doing another walk and give Leonardo precisely at 20:21 to Francesca. She bathes him again and brings him to bed. Most we are both too tired and go also shortly after 21:00 to sleep….

Francesca und ich haben abgemacht, dass wir eine längere Zeit an einem Ort bleiben und nichts unternehmen. Mit einem Kind gibt es das aber nicht. Wir haben den ganzen Tag immer volles Programm und ich frage mich wie wir vorher noch zusätzlich reisen konnten.

Wir sind im Moment in einem Hostel damit wir auch eine Küche haben. Da machen wir am Morgen Frühstück für Leonardo und ein Kaffee für uns. Dann etwas spielen und den Tagesablauf besprechen. Heute zum Beispiel gehen wir einkaufen. Normalerweise macht Leonardo Puh-puh und so bade ich ihn und Francesca bereitet die Flasche vor. Dann wird er unsanft zum Schlafen gezwungen 😉 und wir schauen uns einen Film an oder ich arbeite etwas am Computer oder wir schlafen auch ein wenig. Danach fahren wir nach Trujillo und da es schon fast 12 Uhr ist gehen wir gleich in ein Restaurant. Da gibt es das Menü für 2.5$. Nachdem wir gegessen haben gehen wir in den Supermarkt und kaufen für die nächsten 2-3 Tage ein. Wir lassen dabei Leonardo etwas herumrennen und gönnen ihm den Spass alles Mögliche aus den Regalen zu nehmen und im Supermarkt zu verteilen. Toll ist auch, die Spielwarenabteilung, denn da kann Leonardo mit allem spielen ohne dass wir etwas kaufen müssen 🙂

Nach dem Shoppen geht es wieder nach Hause, damit Leonardo sein Mittagsschlaf machen kann. In dieser Zeit habe auch ich etwas Zeit um aus zu ruhen. Danach gehe ich mit Leonardo an den Strand und mache einen kleinen Spaziergang. Wenn wir zurück sind beginne ich mit kochen und danach essen wir. Dann darf ich wieder etwas mit ihm machen und ab ca. 19:47 mache ich einen weiteren Spaziergang und übergebe Leonardo punkt genau um 20:21 an Francesca. Sie badet ihn nochmals und bringt ins Bett. Meisten sind wir beide auch Müde und gehen ebenfalls kurz nach 21:00 schlafen….

9.9.2016        Huanchaco, PE       Km: 135292                 Relaxing / Relaxen

We caught an expensive restaurant at customs. Now we eat the menu for $ 2.5 per person. There is one soup and a main course of meat or chicken. Or guinea pig, dog, cat, donkey, or anything else just running around, because you never know for sure what you are eating.
We have decided, to stay a longer time in one place, to relax a bit and see if Leonardo then sleeping a little better. He wakes up repeatedly during the night. Sometimes he is teething and sometimes we do not know why.
We found a hostel with kitchen, hot water, garage and Internet. Even it’s a bit expensive, we stay here and just do nothing. Ok, something on bike is always to do. I check the carburetor, as consumption is a little high, and change the brake pads. Then I should make other work, but now relax is played first.

Wir haben am Zoll ein teures Restaurant erwischt. Jetzt essen wir das Menu für 2.5$ pro Person. Es gibt jeweils eine Suppe und ein Hauptgang mit Fleisch oder Hühnchen. Oder Meerschwein, Hunde, Katzen, Esel, oder was sonst gerade herumläuft, denn das weiss man nie so genau.

Wir haben entschlossen, eine längere Zeit an einem Ort zu bleiben, um etwas zu relaxen und zu schauen ob Leonardo dann etwas besser schläft. Er wacht in der Nacht immer wieder auf. Manchmal ist er am Zahnen und manchmal wissen wir nicht warum.

Wir finden ein Hostel mit Küche, warmen Wasser, Garage und Internet. Es ist zwar nicht so günstig aber wir bleiben einmal da und machen einfach nichts. Ok, etwas am töff herumschrauben ist immer nötig. Ich kontrolliere den Vergaser, da der Verbrauch etwas zu hoch ist und wechsle die Bremsbeläge. Dann sollte ich noch andere Arbeiten machen, doch jetzt ist zuerst Relaxen angesagt.

1.9.2016        Piura, PE       Km: 134359                 New Country: Peru / Neues Land: Peru

Today Leonardo has no problem with the up of the mountains and back down into the valley. We, meanwhile, are in deeper regions and must only cross passes of an altitude of 2,500 meters. In the evening, we are so deep that it is much warmer and we are preparing to cross the border with Peru. The next morning we make the immigration of Ecuador and customs. Both go quickly. Likewise the Immigration in Peru. But the registration of the motorcycle takes a long time. The officer is very exact and wants to write down the engine number. This is not as easy as it is not visible. Except in Cuba and now in Peru no one has yet want to see this number. After over an hour answering questions, I finally get the form and I can move on. When I’m at bike, he comes running up again and wants to see the form again. It still one stamp was missing! But then everything is ready and we can continue. We go eat and are surprised how expensive it is here in Peru. If this continues, we’ll have an expensive trip …

Heute hat Leonardo kein Problem beim Hochfahren auf die Berge und wieder ins Tal hinunter. Wir sind unterdessen in tiefere Regionen und müssen nur noch über Pässe, die 2500 Meter über Meer hoch sind. Am Abend sind wir sogar so tief, dass es wieder viel wärmer ist und wir bereiten uns vor um die Grenze zu Peru zu überschreiten. Am nächsten Morgen machen wir die Immigration von Ecuador und den Zoll. Beides geht schnell. Ebenso die Immigration in Peru. Aber die Registrierung des Motorrades dauert sehr lange. Der Beamte nimmt es sehr genau und will auch die Motorennummer aufschreiben. Dies ist nicht so einfach, da sie nicht sichtbar ist. Ausser in Kuba und jetzt in Peru hat bisher niemand diese Nummer sehen wollen. Nach über eine Stunde Fragen beantworten habe ich endlich das Formular und ich kann weiterreisen. Als ich beim Töff bin, kommt er nochmals angerannt und will das Formular nochmals sehen. Es fehlt noch ein Stempel! Aber dann ist alles bereit und wir können weiterfahren. Wir gehen noch essen und sind überrascht wie teuer es hier in Peru ist. Wenn da so weiter geht, wir es eine teure Reise…

30.8.2016        Saraguro, EC       Km: 134359                 Andean village / Anden Dorf

After Alausi we reach another a fantastic Andean village. That is why we stay a little longer in Saraguro. We enjoy the local population which is somewhat shy though. At first, they tend to go one step back but once you closed contact they are incredibly nice. Again, we go back to a park where Leonardo can run around and shows great joy.

The journey takes us up to 3640 meters above sea level lying mountains and we stay most of the time over 3000 meters above sea level. We wonder whether Leonardo tolerates this well. Also if, the up and down, making him possibly problems. Let’s see how it goes on.

Nach Alausi erreichen wir wieder ein fantastisches Anden Dorf. Darum bleiben wir auch gleich etwas länger in Saraguro. Wir geniessen die Lokale Bevölkerung die zwar etwas schüchtern ist. Im ersten Moment gehen sie eher einen Schritt zurück aber sobald man einmal Kontakt geschlossen hat sind sie unglaublich nett. Auch hier gehen wir wieder in den Park, wo Leonardo herumrennen kann und grosse Freude zeigt.

Die Fahrt führt uns jeweils bis zu 3640 MüM liegende Berge und wir sind mehrheitlich über 3000 Meter über Meer. Wir fragen uns ob Leonardo dies gut verträgt. Auch das hoch und runter, macht ihm evt. Probleme. Mal sehen wie es weitergeht.

We find more and more our rhythm. Mostly we stay somewhere in the center and near a park. In Cuneca we live next to a playground and Leonardo takes pleasure in the slide. Countless times we have up and down again. In between he takes a nap and then it goes back to the playground. The conditions are so good that we stay for 3 days. I note here that we are not as fast as planned. But this is not so important, we have time …

Wir finden immer mehr unseren Rhythmus. Meistens irgendwo im Zentrum und in der Nähe eines Parks übernachten. In Cuneca wohnen wir gleich neben einem Spielplatz und Leonardo hat Freude an der Rutschbahn. Unzählige Male müssen wir hoch und wieder runter. Zwischendurch gibt ein Mittagsschlaf und dann geht es wieder auf den Spielplatz. Die Bedingungen sind so gut, dass wir gleich 3 Tage hier bleiben. Ich merke dabei, dass wir bei weitem nicht so schnell vorankommen wie geplant. Aber dies ist nicht so wichtig, wir haben ja Zeit…

We leave and see how far we get. Since we are still in the mountains, it is still quite cold. It even goes to 3640 meters up over the sea and it is only 5 degrees. And we can well see the snowy mountains. For me, a little surprising that it is so close to the equator so cold. We take the Pan Americana until we arrive at Alausi. A small village that we like much and we decide to stay another day here.

Wir fahren los und schauen wie weit wir kommen. Da wir immer noch in den Bergen sind, ist es immer noch recht kalt. Es geht sogar bis 3640 Meter über Meer hinauf und es ist nur noch 5 Grad warm. Man kann auch gut die verschneiten Berge sehen. Für mich ein wenig überraschend, dass es so nahe am Äquator so kalt ist. Wir fahren die Pan Americana weiter bis wir in Alausi ankommen. Ein kleines Dorf, dass uns gut gefällt und wir entscheiden noch eine weitere Nach hier zu bleiben.

The time change seems to go without major problems. For sure Francesca is a bit tired but could sleep the first night until the morning. Likewise, Leonardo, who slept for about 14 hours. Then we have to buy 2-3 dresses for Leonardo, as it is quite cool in Quito.
Francesca and I encounter some problems quickly. We are often not unanimous. Where we were previously unbeatable, we are going now in the opposite direction. I’m not sure if it is right decision that Francesca comes to visiting me. At the moment I’m not sure how to go further…

Die Zeitumstellung scheint ohne grösseren Probleme zu gehen. Natürlich ist Francesca noch etwas müde, konnte jedoch die erste Nacht bis am morgen früh schlafen. Ebenso Leonardo, der um die 14 Stunden am Stück geschlafen hat. Dann müssen wir noch 2-3 Kleider für Leonardo kaufen, da es in Quito recht kühl ist.

Francesca und ich stossen schnell auf einige Probleme. Wir sind uns oft nicht einig. Wo wir früher unschlagbar waren, gehen wir heute in entgegengesetzte Richtung. Ich bin mir nicht mehr sicher, ob es dir richtige Entscheidung ist, dass Francesca mich besuchen kommt. Im Moment bin ich mir nicht sicher wie wir weiter gehen sollen…

11.8.2016        Quito, EC       Km: 133353                 Reunion with Francesca and Leonardo/ Wiedersehen mit Francesca und Leonardo

I go in the morning to the airport, waiting in the arrivals hall. Then suddenly Francesca and Leonardo turn up. After 4 months I see them again, and was waiting a long time for this. Since both are tired from the long journey, we go straight home. Leonardo has to sleep for the first time and we begin immediately to adjust the time difference and find the new rhythm. Leonardo is a little shy, but after half a day he accepted me as a father again. Francesca and I were a little afraid for this, because what happen if he doesn’t accepts me anymore. It’s fantastic to see how much Leonardo is smiling.

Ich fahre am Morgen Richtung Flughafen und warte in der Ankunftshalle. Dann tauchen auf einmal Francesca und Leonardo auf. Nach 4 Monaten sehe ich sie wieder und darauf habe ich mich schon lange gefreut. Da beide müde von der langen Reise sind, fahren wir gleich nach Hause. Leonardo muss erstmals schlafen und wir beginnen gleich die Zeitumstellung an zu passen und den neuen Rhythmus zu finden. Leonardo ist noch etwas scheu, doch nach einem halben Tag akzeptiert er mich als Vater wieder. Francesca und ich hatten ein wenig Angst vor der Begegnung, denn was ist, wenn er mich mehr akzeptiert. Es ist fantastisch zu sehen wie viel Leonardo am Lachen ist.

My journey continues southward and suddenly comes the border with Ecuador. I have to wait long for the Colombian migration. Ecuador’s side is then a little faster but I still need to register the motorbike and it takes a while. The next goal is to cross the equator. Unfortunately, I am too fast and there is to see no big sign. So I miss to make the space around a photo. I’m going to Quito and again the next day to make equator to a photo. It’s not as exciting as it was my 2nd Crossing the equator on my journey is already (From Sydney to Hawaii by plane does not count). I wonder if there will be a third …

Meine Reise geht weiter nach Süden und auf einmal kommt die Grenze zu Ecuador. Ich muss lange bei der Kolumbischen Migration warten. Ecuadors Seite ist dann etwas schneller aber ich muss noch den Töff registrieren und das dauert auch eine Weile. Das nächste Ziel ist den Äquator zu überqueren. Leider bin ich zu schnell und es gibt auch kein grosses Schild zu sehen. So verpasse ich den Platz um ein Foto zu machen. Ich fahre nach Quito und am nächsten Tag nochmals zu Äquator um ein Foto zu machen. Es ist nicht mehr so spannend, da es bereits meine 2. Äquator Überquerung auf meiner Reise ist (Von Sydney nach Hawaii mit dem Flugzeug zählt nicht). Ich frage mich, ob es noch eine dritte geben wird…

5.8.2016        Medellin, CO       Km: 132007                 Motorcycle work/ Töffarbeiten

Since several days, I note that the gasoline consumption increases more and more. Also, power loss can be felt. But first I have to buy a front tire and change the rear one. It is still the spare tires, which I bought in Mexico for $ 25. Meanwhile, I have driven surprising 5713 km with it. The Search for a tire is not as easy as my size is almost not to be found here. Finally I find one that is not too expensive. The change will cost $ 2.50 for what I don’t make my hands dirty. Later outside the hostel I look at the Carbs. I notice that the vacuum hose to the fuel pump is filled with petrol. This should not be, because the fuel goes directly into the carburetor and the mixture is then rich. Accordingly, the spark plugs are black instead fawn. I change the membrane of the fuel pump and the engine running much better. In the evening I meet with Ken. A cool guy I met on the ship and together we have dinner and look at the pretty women of Colombia.

Seit einigen Tagen stelle ich fest dass der Benzinverbrauch immer mehr ansteigt. Auch ein Leistungsverlust ist zu spüren. Zuerst muss ich aber noch einen Vorderreifen kaufen und der Hintere wechseln. Es ist immer noch der Notreifen, den ich in Mexico für 25$ gekauft habe. Mittlerweile habe ich überraschende 5713 Kilometer damit gefahren. Die Reifensuche ist nicht so einfach, da  meine Grösse hier fast nicht zu finden ist. Ich finde schlussendlich einen, der auch nicht teuer ist. Das wechseln kostet 2.50$ wofür ich mir die Hände nicht schmutzig mache. Später vor dem Hostel schaue ich mir den Vergase an. Ich merke, dass der Vakuumschlauch der Benzinpumpe mit Benzin gefüllt ist. Dies sollte auf keinen Fall so sein, denn so geht das Benzin direkt in den Vergaser und das Gemisch ist dann zu Fett. Entsprechend sind die Zündkerzen Schwarz anstelle Rehbraun. Ich wechsle die Membrane der Benzinpumpe und der Motor läuft danach viel besser. Am Abend treffe ich mich mit Ken. Ein cooler Typ den ich auf dem Schiff getroffen habe und gemeinsam gehen wir Abendessen und schauen uns die hübschen Frauen von Kolumbien an.

4.8.2016        Medellin, CO       Km: 131995                 Toll booth / Zahlstationen

I leave Cartagena and arrive soon to the first pay station and I have to pay 2500 pesos. At the second I try to be a little bitchy. But there are 3 people who do not want me to pass through and say no. I just wait to hold the traffic. One calls immediately to the police, which I did not know at this time. At the 6th the people look at me a bit surprised why I did not pass the toll booth, but it is not enough space to pass. Unfortunately, the sidecar touches right wall. At the 7th I stop at the motorcycle lane because she is too narrow and a woman comes and tells me that I should take the track for cars. Then she makes some photos from the front and back and then I can without paying continue. Number 8-11 are then repeats. It seems that only at the first tollbooth are no happy people, because the longer the friendly they are.

Ich verlasse Cartagena und komme bald an die erste Zahlstation und ich muss 2500 Pesos zahlen. bei der zweiten probiere ich ein wenig zickig zu sein. Es sind aber 3 Leute die mich nicht durchlassen wollen und sagen nein. Ich bleibe einfach mal stehen um den Verkehr auf zu halten. Der eine Ruft dann gleich die Polizei, was ich zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht wusste. Dann kam die Polizei und er will gleich den Pass und die Fahrzeugdokumente. Ich traue ihm nicht und gebe sie ihm natürlich nicht. Ich suche Ausreden und gebe ihm eine Kopie. Erst später merke ich, dass es eine Kopie des abgelaufenen Passes ist. Dann erklärt er mir, dass ich zahlen muss, wenn ich über den Sensor fahre. Wenn ich ausserhalb bin, ist es ok. Da aber die Spur für die Motorräder zu schmal ist kann ich nicht passieren ohne den Sensor zu aktivieren. Ich habe etwas Angst, dass er mir eine Busse geben will. Ich frage wie viel und er sagt etwas mit 7000. Ich gehe zur Tafel und es sind 7100 Pesos (ganz schön teuer). Ich gehe zurück und da gibt mir der Polizist überraschend ein Zeichen, dass ich weiterfahren soll. Dass ich ihm eine Kopie des abgelaufenen Passes gab und dass die Reifen abgelaufen sind interessiert ihn nicht.

Bei der 3. Station winkt der Security mich durch und zeigt mir, dass ich nicht in die Sensoren fahren soll. Alles geht gut und er lässt mich weiter. Bei der 4. Station räumt der Security die Hindernisse weg und öffnet die Barriere für mich. Bei der 5. ist niemand zu sehen und Platz um vorbei zu fahren. bei der 6. bekomme ich einen vorwerfenden Blick warum ich nicht weiterfahre, es ist doch genug Platz da. Leider nicht ganz und der Seitenwagen streift an der rechten Mauer. Bei der 7. Station ist die Motorradspur zu schmal und eine Frau kommt und zeigt mir, dass ich die Spur für Autos nehmen soll. Sie macht dann noch ein Foto von vorne und hinten und dann kann ich ohne zu zahlen weiter fahren. Nummer 8-11 sind dann Wiederholungen. Es scheint, dass nur bei der ersten Mautstation nicht gut gelaunte Leute waren, denn je länger desto freundlicher sind sie.

As with the Cuba trip I get seasick again. But this time only for one day, because then we reached Cartagena in Colombia. We have to wait another day until the motorcycles can be unloaded and then most will meet again at the same hostel. Most of the other bikers and backpackers on the ship traveling quite unlike me and for me it’s great to hear their stories. Unloading and customs go fast and we are soon free. But I stay again in Cartagena, because I do not want stress and I can again spend an evening with the funny troupe of bikers.

Wie bei der Kubareise werde ich wieder Seekrank. Diesmal aber nur einen Tag, denn dann erreichen wir Cartagena in Kolumbien. Wir müssen noch einen Tag warten, bis die Motorräder abgeladen werden können und so treffen sich die meisten wieder im selben Hostel. Die meisten der anderen Töfffahrer und Backpacker auf dem Schiff reisen ganz anders als ich und für mich ist es toll ihre Geschichten zu hören. Das Abladen und der Zoll gehen schnell und so sind wir bald frei. Ich übernachte aber nochmals in Cartagena, da ich keinen Stress will und so kann ich nochmals einen Abend mit der lustigen Truppe der Biker verbringen.
