I need urgently renew my Iran visa and wants to do in Shiraz. Unfortunately, the timing is bad again, because it’s Friday (Iran Sunday) when I arrive in Shiraz. So I drive very comfortable and want to look at some of the sights. In Pasagard is an ancient city and I driving there. At the ticket corner, I see that the locals pay much less than is written. I should then pay 150000 Rials (~ 5 USD ). I then make the cashier quickly realized that the Persians pay less and I wonder why. It comes back to me just a shrug. I wonder how much the Persians have to pay 20000 Rials (~ 0.85 USD ). I was really ****** off and I do not look at me Pasagard! When I put on the helmet comes the cashier over again and says, no problem’ and wants to give me the ticket for 2 Toman. I have no motivations anymore and go on to a more ancient ruined city of Persepolis. But the same happened here. The local pay 20000 Rials and I should pay 200’000. 10 times more! I’m again ****** off and I decide to boycotting sightseeing Iran from this point on. I then went in the nearby park and take a nap, because I have not slept so well last night. Later I set up my tent and eat dinner. A little bit later Dean, an Irish cyclist I’ve already met 2 times, arrived and together we stay in the park.

Ich muss dringend mein Iran Visum verlängern lassen und will dies in Shiraz erledigen. Leider ist die Zeitplanung wieder mal schlecht, da Freitag ist (Iranischer Sonntag) wenn ich in Shiraz ankomme. Darum fahre ich sehr gemütlich und will mir einige Sehenswürdigkeiten anschauen. In Pasagard ist eine antike Stadt und ich steuere dahin. Beim Ticketkauf, sehe ich dass die Einheimischen viel we***** zahlen als angeschrieben ist. Ich sollte dann 150000 Rials (~5 USD) zahlen. Ich mache dann dem Kassier schnell klar, dass die Perser we***** zahlen und ich frage warum. Es kommt mir nur ein Achselzucken zurück. Ich frage wie viel die Perser zahlen müssen, 20000 Rials (~0.85 USD). Da mir so was total auf den Sack geht, schaue ich mir Pasagard nicht an! Als ich den Helm anziehe kommt der Kassierer nochmals vorbei und sagt ‚no problem’ und will mir das Ticket Schlussendlich für die 2 Toman geben. Ich habe jetzt aber keine Lust mehr dazu und fahre weiter nach Persepolis eine weitere antike Ruinenstadt. Hier dasselbe. Die einheimischen zahlen 20000 Rial und ich soll 200000 zahlen. 10 Mal mehr! Auch hier geht es mir wieder auf den Sack, dass die Touristen offensichtlich abgezockt werden. Ab sofort boykottiere ich Sehenswürdigkeiten in Iran. Ich fahre dann in den nahegelegen Park und mache ein Nickerchen, da ich letzte Nacht nicht so gut geschlafen habe, und hole 1 1/2 Stunden nach. Später stelle ich mein Zelt auf und esse Dinner. Beim eindunkeln kommt Dean (ein Irischer Velofahrer) vorbei, den ich bereits 2 Mal getroffen habe! gemeinsam übernachten wir im Park.
