3.7.2013 Almaty (KZ) Km: 75139 Visa problems / Visum Probleme
Unfortunately, the immigration officer noticed that I have not registered myself and now I have to pay a fee. And, of course, start again to queue. The immigration officer shows me that my stay here in Kazakhstan on 14.7. ends and I have to leave the country. This is now a bigger problem, because I thought the visa was valid until 10.8. So I have to go immediately to Aktau in order to catch the ferry to Baku. These are 4200km in 5 days which is not possible anyway. The rest of the days I need as a reserve for the ferry. There is just the next problem. The Azerbaijan visa starts at 1.8. and there is a gap of 3 weeks. I try with the travel agent to find a solution. But so far without success, since a new visa for Kazakhstan is only possible when the old visa has expired. At the moment I do not know how I get out of these problems…

Leider hat die Immigrationsbeamtin gemerkt, dass ich mich nicht registriert habe und drück mir nun eine saftige Buse auf. Und natürlich wieder hinten anstehen und das Gedränge ertragen. Die Beamtin macht mich noch darauf aufmerksam, dass mein Aufenthalt hier in Kasachstan am 14.7. endet und ich das Land verlassen muss. Das ist jetzt ein grösseres Problem, denn ich dachte das Visum sei gültig bis 10.8. So muss ich morgen sofort nach Aktau fahren um die Fähre nach Baku zu erwischen. Dies sind 4200Km in 5 Tagen was eigentlich nicht möglich ist. Die restlichen Tage brauche ich als Reserve für die Fähre. Da ist schon das nächste Problem. Das Aserbaidschan Visum beginnt erst am 1.8. und da sind noch 3 Wochen dazwischen. Ich versuche mit dem Travel Agent eine Lösung zu finden. Bisher aber erfolglos, da ein neues Visum für Kasachstan erst nach Ablauf des Alten Visum möglich ist. Im Moment weiss ich nicht, wie ich aus der Sache wieder rauskomme…
