Since we are now in Cuba, it would be great to ride with the bike around. Fortunately, we have this loaded on the ship. Now I have to get it only through customs. This is basically simple. They check the engine number and do some paperwork. The copies are made each with carbon paper. Then it goes to the traffic police to do an inspection. Just behind the house is the inspection place, and the people are super nice. These then give me a license plate from Cuba, because it is not allowed to drive with the Swiss number around. Then wait again and at 19:00 I get even the Cuban car registration and from now on I can ride in Cuba. Because it’s late we went again on the ship. And tomorrow we will continue…

Da wir nun in Kuba sind, wäre es toll auch mit dem Motorrad herum zu fahren. Zum Glück haben wir dies auch auf das Schiff verladen. Nun muss ich es nur noch durch den Zoll bringen. Der Zoll ist einfach. Die Motorennummer wird aufgenommen und einige Papiere ausgefüllt. Die Kopien werden jeweils mit Durchschlagpapier gemacht. Dann geht es zur Verkehrspolizei. Da bekomme ich eine Aufforderung zur MFK (TÜV). Gleich hinter dem Haus ist die Inspektionsstelle wo die Leute aber super nett sind. Diese geben mir dann ein Nummernschild von Kuba, da es nicht erlaubt ist mit der Schweizer Nummer herum zu fahren. Dann wieder warten und gegen 19:00 kriege ich noch den Kubanischen Fahrzeugschein und von nun an kann ich frei in Kuba herum fahren. Da es schon spät ist übernachten wir nochmals auf dem Schiff. Und morgen soll es weitergehen…..
