So far I got the visa relatively easily, what changes now complete:\n\n Day 1: Friday 17:00, arriving in Tehran. By this I know that I chose a bad time, because the embassies are closed on Saturday and Sunday.\n\n Day 2: As I have time I fill out the online application and save it as a PDF. With the USB stick I am looking for a shop where I can print out the application form. I’m still reading that I need a birth certificate, but it will not try this.\n\n Day 3: In research I find out that the Indian Embassy is open on Sunday? The reason I find out also. In Iran, the Friday is the ‘Sunday’ and Saturday’s there to have a weekend. So I go immediately to the Indian Embassy and intention to deliver the documents. They told me then that I need a ,Introduction letter’ of the Swiss Embassy and a need ,telex form’. I go to as Swiss embassy, but I cannot find them first. The street names are not unique in Tehran and the desired street there several times. After I got the letter I go back to the Indian Embassy. Unfortunately, too late, as it only has 10 to 12 clocks open.\n\n Day 4: I put myself in the queue and give the documents from a half hour later. The woman then tells me that the consul wants to talk with me, because I entry India by land and not by plane (my motorbike unfortunately cannot fly). In the hall I wait 1 ½ hours and they tell me that the consul today have no time. When he had time, I ask. We do not know and the embassy will call me then. In the evening, I get the call that I should come by 11-12 clock tomorrow. To be continued …\n\n **********************\n\n Ein Grund, dass ich nach Teheran gekommen bin, ist ein Visum für Indien zu beantragen. Bisher kriegte ich die Visa relativ einfach, was sich jetzt komplett ändert:\n\n Tag 1: Freitag 17:00, Ankunft in Teheran. Dabei merke ich, dass ich einen ungünstigen Zeitpunkt gewählt habe, da Samstag und Sonntag die Botschaften geschlossen sind.\n\n Tag 2: Da ich Zeit habe fülle ich den Online Antrag aus und speichere ihn als PDF. Mit dem USB-Stick suche ich einen Laden wo ich den Antrag ausdrucken kann. Ich lese noch, dass ich eine Geburtsurkunde brauche, werde es aber ohne diese versuchen.\n\n Tag 3: Bei Recherchen finde ich heraus, dass die Indische Botschaft am Sonntag offen hat? Den Grund finde ich auch heraus. Im Iran ist der Freitag der ‚Sonntag’ und Samstag ist da um ein Wochenende zu haben. Also gehe ich sofort zur Indischen Botschaft und will die Dokumente abgeben. Man sagt mir dann, dass ich noch ein ‚Introduction Letter‘ der Schweizer Botschaft brauche und ein ‚Telex Formular‘. Ich fahre als zu Schweizer Botschaft, doch ich finde sie zuerst nicht. Die Strassennamen in Tehran sind nicht eindeutig und die gesuchte Strasse gibt es mehrere Male. Nachdem ich den Letter habe gehe ich zurück zur Indischen Botschaft. Leider zu spät, da sie nur von 10 bis 12 Uhr offen hat.\n\n Tag 4: Ich stelle mich in die Warteschlange und gebe die Dokumente eine halbe Stunde später ab. Die Frau sagt mir dann, dass mich der Konsul sprechen will, da ich nicht mit dem Flugzeug einreise, sondern über Land komme (mein Töff kann leider noch nicht fliegen). Im Vorzimmer warte ich 1 ½ Stunden und man sagt mir, dass der Konsul heute keine Zeit mehr habe. Wann er dann Zeit habe, frage ich. Sie wissen es nicht und werden mich dann anrufen.
