Versuch \n\n I chose a place to sleep in a small field next to a wheat field. The advantage was that I could use leftover straw to build me a mattress. The downside was that the farmer collects all the straw bales in the middle of the night. Lot of noise and uncertainty whether I have to go -> but was not a problem. \n\n I wanted to look the same day in Ankara for a Motor Bike shop to go to buy tires. I find on the internet and drive to a BMW dealer. The dealer then said that they do not screw around in non-BMW motorcycles. I said no problem, I’ll mount the tires themselves. But they have no tires for this bike, he added. I then told him that it is the same as tires for BMW (which he also knew, of course) and he should order. He then said that I should try in the Kawasaki center! BMW’er, a special species…. In the Kawasaki center they order tires for me and also the rear sprocket. On Saturday, everything should be there.\n\n On Saturday around noon I go back to Kawasaki Centre in order to change the tires. I want a precaution do everything myself, but realize that the mechanics are really good and help me in mounting (not like the semi-idiots in Samsun). When I check the sprocket, I realize that I have to change it too. When fitting the chain then I realize that this is too short. Tip to all ‘long distance driver’ always check everything very carefully before you buy something. In the workshop, but they can help me and give a link in a chain. With another chain lock I can mount this link. With new tires I drive calmed down to the hostel.\n\n The ride over the Caspian Sea, the visa for the next country and the tire change took less time than expected. I now have enough time to do something else. Let’s see what comes to my mind what I can do.\n\n **********************\n\n Ich habe mir als Schlafplatz ein kleines Feld neben einem Weizenfeld ausgesucht. Der Vorteil war, dass ich übriggebliebenes Stroh nutzen konnte um mir eine Unterlage zu bauen. Der Nachteil war, dass der Bauer mitten in der Nach die Strohballen einsammelte. Riesenlärm und die Ungewissheit ob ich gehen muss -> war aber kein Problem. Ich wollte noch am gleichen Tag in Ankara ein Töffshop suchen gehen um ggf. Pneus zu kaufen. Ich finde im Internet ein BMW Händler und fahre auch gleich dahin. Der Händler sagte dann, dass sie an nicht BMW Motorräder nicht herumschrauben. Ich sagte kein Problem, ich werde die Pneus selber montieren. Sie haben aber keine Reifen für dieses Motorrad, meinte er weiter. Ich sagte ihm dann, dass es die gleichen Pneus sind wie für BMW (was er natürlich auch wusste) und er soll sie bitte bestellen. Er meinte dann, ich soll es doch im Kawasaki Center versuchen! BMW’ler halt, eine spezielle Spezies…. Im Kawa Center bestellen sie Pneus für mich und auch noch das Kettenrad hinten. Am Samstag soll alles da sein.\n\n Am Samstag gegen Mittag fahre ich wieder zu Kawasaki Center um die Reifen zu wechseln. Ich will vorsichtshalber alles selber machen, merke aber, dass die Mechaniker richtig gut sind und mir beim Montieren helfen (nicht wie die halbdeppen in Samsun). Beim überprüfen des Ritzel stelle ich fest, dass ich es wechseln muss. Beim Montieren der Kette stelle ich dann fest, dass diese zu kurz ist. Tip an alle anderen ‘long distance driver’ immer alles ganz genau prüfen bevor man etwas kauft. In der Werkstatt können sie mir aber weiterhelfen und ein Glied einer Kette geben. Mit einem weiteren Kettenschloss kann ich dieses Glied montieren. Mit neuen Pneus fahre ich beruhigt wieder ins Hostel.\n\n Da die Fahrt übers Kaspische Meer, das Visum für das nächste Land und der Reifenwechsel we***** lang gedauert hat als geplant, habe ich nun Zeit um mich zu verweilen.
