| \n \n\n Cultureshock \/ Kulturschock Baku, Azerbaijan <\/div>\n\n\n <\/td>\n\n\n <\/tr>\n\n\n<\/table>\n\n\nBaku, Azerbaijan<\/b>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n05.8.2013 Baku (AZ) Km: 81155 Cultureshock \/ Kulturschock\n\n After a crossing time of 27 hours we arrived in Baku and were woken early by 5 o clock rudely by a grumpy cleaning lady. The whole immigration process then took another 8 hours, and I could count 51 stamps for crossing the border from Aktau (KZ) to Baku (AZ) by ferry. New record! Baku is again different from what I had seen and experienced the past few weeks. An architectural fantastic city and you can see that here is much money. In addition to the long history of the city, it is also charmingly and it’s really clean. After the poor conditions to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan there is a small culture shock. The wealth comes mainly from the oil that is partially funded in the middle of the city. As Dug a good colleague (Martin) knows, he work in Baku, we were invited by him and can stay with him for 2 nights. Martin shows us the city and we have a good time with him. Thanks again Martin.\n\n **********************\n\n Nach einer Überfahrtszeit von 27 Stunden legten wir in Baku an und wurden um 5 Uhr früh unsanft von einer schlecht gelaunten Putzfrau geweckt. Der ganze Einreiseprozess dauerte dann weitere 8 Stunden und ich konnte 51 Stempel für den Grenzübertritt von Aktau (KZ) nach Baku (AZ) mit der Fähre zählen, die ich erhalten habe. Rekordverdächtig!\n\n Baku ist wieder mal anders, als ich mir vorgestellt und die letzten Wochen erlebt habe. Eine architektonische fantastische Stadt und man kann sehen, dass hier viel Geld verbaut wurde. Neben der langen Geschichte der Stadt ist es auch ist es richtig scharmant und sauber. Nach den ärmlichen Verhältnisse zu Kasachstan und Usbekistan ist es ein kleiner Kulturschock. Der Reichtum kommt vor allem vom Öl, dass zum Teil mitten in der Stadt gefördert wird.\n\n Da Dug einen guten Kollegen (Martin) kennt, der in Baku arbeite wurden wir von ihm eingeladen und können bei ihm übernachten. Martin zeigt uns auch die Stadt und wir haben eine gute Zeit mit einem super Typen.
