I decide not to take the direct road through the mountains and instead go back and then drive along the national road towards Sucre. After I crossed La Paz, I want to refuel. The tanker says he cannot give me any gas. So I go to the next and the seller wants 8 Bolivianos. I say no, and he makes me a better price. The normal price is 3.74 per liter but foreigners have to pay more. I already heard of it and went a little further and gave him a canister, since I have so no foreign number plate. He is angry because I have not paid him more and he doesn\u2019t want to give me gasoline. I continue because I do not want to support corruption, even if it is small amounts.
\nFor now I have a problem that my tank is almost empty. I find a petrol station that is filling my 7 liter plastic bottle and so I come go a few kilometers to the next petrol station. Again, I can refuel 7 liters. But only 7 liters, because they are allowed to refill one canister only. Then I come to a gas station which has no gasoline and with one he does not want to fill in a plastic bottle. I notice that I get gasoline from stations without cameras and the others do not. The state distributes permits (carnet) with which one can get gasoline and they controls exactly who gets how much gasoline. If you do not have a carnet, the tanker has to fill out a form what they don\u2019t like to do and then they say we have no gasoline.

Ich entscheide, nicht die direkte Strasse durch die Berge zu nehmen und stattdessen zur\u00fcck und dann auf der Nationalstrasse Richtung Sucre zu fahren. Nachdem ich La Paz durchquert habe, will ich auftanken. Der Tankwart sagt, er kann mir kein Benzin geben. So fahre ich zur n\u00e4chsten und da will der Verk\u00e4ufer 8 Bolivianos. Ich sage nein worauf er mir einen besseren Preis macht. Der normale Preis ist 3.74 pro Liter aber f\u00fcr die Ausl\u00e4nder m\u00fcssen mehr bezahlen. Ich h\u00f6rte bereits davon und fahre etwas weiter und gebe ihm einen Kanister, da ich so kein ausl\u00e4ndisches Nummernschild habe. Er ist aber sauer weil ich ihm nicht mehr bezahlt habe und will mir kein Benzin geben. Ich fahre weiter, da ich Korruption nicht unterst\u00fctzen will, auch wenn es sich um kleine Betr\u00e4ge handelt.<\/p>\n
Daf\u00fcr habe ich jetzt ein Problem, da mein Tank fast leer ist. Ich finde eine Tankstelle, die mir meine 7 Liter Plastikflasche auff\u00fcllt und so komme ich wieder einige Kilometer weit bis zur n\u00e4chsten Tankstelle. Auch hier kann ich wieder 7 Liter tanken. Aber nur 7 Liter, da sie den Kanister nur einmal auff\u00fcllen d\u00fcrfen. Dann komme ich an eine Tankstelle die kein Benzin hat und bei einer will er nicht in ein Plastikflasche auff\u00fcllen. Ich merke, dass ich bei Tankstellen ohne Kamera \u00dcberwachung Benzin bekomme und bei den anderen nicht. Der Staat verteilt Ausweise mit denen man Benzin beziehen kann und kontrolliert genau wer wie viel Benzin bekommt. Wenn man keinen Ausweis hat, muss der Tankwart ein Formular ausf\u00fcllen, was sie ungern machen und dann sagen, dass sie kein Benzin haben.<\/p>\n
Ich schlage mich aber gut und erreiche Oruro und habe sogar noch etwas Benzin im Tank. Mal sehen wie weit ich morgen komme\u2026<\/p>\n
