I can here in a private house because Francesca found from Italy found a couch for me. Fantastic. First I go to a computer store to look to see if I can recover the data from my laptop who is destroyed and where I can buy a new one. The first shop has no tool to open the laptop! The 2nd ask $ 20 to open him. I open it then itself and cannot see anything that is broken. I try quickly and suddenly he is working again. Then I screw the lid back on and he doesn’t work anymore. Lid off = ok. A board has moved slightly and I press back into position. After that the laptop is working again. I’ll try it for 2 days, but it seems that I do not have to buy new.
I’m going to buy tools to fix a thread on the bike and then I look to strip. I’m a bit disappointed, because it somehow has no longer the charm of earlier years. All the bright lights have been replaced with large illuminated panels. Downtown is still nice but it has definitely too many tourists. The Strip is more become a holiday resort and downtown seems like Disneyland.
I can stay another 2 nights with my nice host Craig and I’m glad can see the live just outside of the strip.\n\n **********************\n\n Schon bald erreiche ich Las Vegas. Ich kann hier Privat übernachten, da Francesca von Italien aus eine Couch für mich gefunden hat. Super. Als erstes gehe ich zu einem Computer Shop um zu schauen ob ich die Daten vom meinem zerstörten Laptop retten kann und wo ich einen neuen Laptop kaufen kann. Der erste hat kein Werkzeug um den Laptop zu öffnen! Der 2. Will 20$ nur um ihn zu öffnen. Ich öffne ihn dann selber und sehe nichts das defekt ist. Ich probiere schnell und auf einmal funktioniert er wieder. Dann schraube ich den Deckel wieder an und er geht nicht mehr. Deckel weg = ok. Eine Platine hat sich etwas verschoben und ich drücke sie wieder in Position. Danach funktioniert der Laptop wieder. Ich werde ihn 2 Tage ausprobieren, aber es scheint, dass ich keinen neuen kaufen muss.\n\n Ich gehe noch Werkzeuge kaufen um ein Gewinde am Bike zu reparieren und schaue mir dann den Strip an. Ich bin etwas enttäuscht, da es irgendwie nicht mehr den Scharm von früher hat. All die bunten Lichter sind mit grossen Leuchttafeln ersetzt worden. Nur in Downtown gibt es sie noch aber da hat es definitiv zu viele Touristen. Der Strip ist mehr zu einem Ferien Ressort geworden und Downtown kommt mir wie Disneyland vor. \n\n Ich kann noch 2 weitere Nächte bei meinem netten Host Craig bleiben und ich bin froh, dass ich etwas ausserhalb wohne und las Vegas ausserhalb vom Strip kennen lerne.\n
