I may stay a few days at Thomas again and he has brought me more spare parts. He was short time in Switzerland and through a big chance very close to my sister and could bring the spare parts. First I try to fix the problem with the charging voltage. I changed almost all parts and could not solve the problem. I suspect that a cable is not ok. I check first all the parts, cables and connectors. Alternator resistance of the coil is 0.9 ohms, battery leakage current 5.8 mA, voltage of the alternator at 5000 r \/ min is 85 volts, resistance of the rectifier 166 ohms and circuit to ground is no existing. I read if others have the same problem on the Internet. Many report that the battery could be the problem. In Canada, I have checked this with another and also had a too high charging voltage. I still read the workshop book and realize that the charging voltage should be between 14 to 15 volts! And with the new controller at 5000 r \/ min it’s 14:38 volts. I remember well that the charging voltage in Australia was always around the 13.8 volts. This means the controller is defective since years and when I swapped the controller, I have not noticed that the problem was solved. I solder the cable yet, so that the contact is good and do a test ride. The electrical problem is finally solved and I am very relaxed and happy. Now I have the rattle of the engine that will I fix next…..\n\n **********************\n\n Ich fahre weiter und nach einigen Tagen erreiche ich San Cristobal in Chiapas. Ich darf wieder bei Thomas einige Tage übernachten und er hat mir weitere Ersatzteile gebracht. Er war kurz in der Schweiz und durch einen grossen Zufall ganz in der Nähe meiner Schwester und konnte die Ersatzteile mitbringen. \n\n Als erstes versuche ich das Problem mit der Ladespannung zu lösen. Ich habe schon fast alle Teile ausgewechselt und konnte das Problem nicht lösen. Ich vermute dass ein Kabel nicht ok ist. Ich kontrolliere aber zuerst alle Teile. Lichtmaschine Wiederstand der Spulen ist 0.9 Ohm, Batterie Leck Strom 5.8 mA , Spannung der Lichtmaschine bei 5000 u\/min ist 85 Volt, Wiederstand des Reglers 166 Ohm, Stromkreis zu Masse kein Durchgang. Ich lese im Internet ob andere das gleiche Problem haben. Viele berichten, dass die Batterie das Problem sein könnte. In Kanada habe ich mit einer anderen dies überprüft und auch eine zu hohe Ladespannung gehabt. Ich lese noch das Werkstattbuch und merke, dass die Ladespannung zwischen 14 und 15 Volt sein soll. Und mit dem neuen Regler ist sie bei 5000 U\/min gleich 14.38 Volt. Ich kann mich gut erinnern, dass die Ladespannung in Australien immer um die 13.8 Volt war. Dies bedeutet, der Regler ist schon seit Jahre defekt und als ich den Regler getauscht habe, habe ich nicht bemerkt dass das Problem behoben war. Ich verlöte die Kabel noch, damit der Kontakt gut ist und mache eine Probefahrt.
