| \n \n\n Bay of Pigs \/ Schweinebucht Playa Larga, Caribbean <\/div>\n\n\n <\/td>\n\n\n <\/tr>\n\n\n<\/table>\n\n\nPlaya Larga, Caribbean<\/b>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n17.3.2016 Playa Larga, C Km: 109748 Bay of Pigs \/ Schweinebucht\n\n Next, we drive to the Bay of Pigs. It is the place where the Cuban exiles launched the invasion to fall the Castro regime. We find a nice place to stay and try to buy what to eat. We drive around the whole village and cannot find any shop who sells vegetables or fruits. We drive about 5 km inland until we find a seller with cucumbers and tomatoes. Even a pineapple we buy from him and ride back. As I see someone on the bike with fresh salad. I stop and speak to him and buy the salad from him. Later, I’m still looking for a bakery, at the first the equipment does not work and it is closed. The 2nd has all the bread sold and Francesca can buy only in a cafe a little bread. The situation with food is a bit unusual here in Cuba and this I never expected. Let’s see how it goes and if we do not starve….\n\n **********************\n\n Als nächstes fahren wir in die Schweinebucht. Es ist der Ort, wo die Exilkubaner die Invasion starteten um die Regierung Castro zu stürzen. Wir finden eine nette Unterkunft und versuchen was zu essen zu kaufen. Wir fahren im ganzen Dorf herum und finden kein Shop der Gemüse oder Früchte verkauft. Wir fahren ca. 5 Kilometer ins Landesinnere bis wir einen Strassenverkäufer finden, der Gurken und Tomaten hat. Auch eine Ananas kaufen wir ihm ab und fahren zurück. Da sehe ich jemanden auf dem Fahrrad der frischen Salat hat. Ich spreche ihn an und kaufe ihm den Salat gleich ab. Später suche ich noch eine Bäckerei, bei der ersten funktionieren die Geräte nicht mehr und sie ist geschlossen. Die 2. Hat alles Brot schon verkauft und Francesca konnte in einem Kaffee ein wenig Brot kaufen. Sie Situation mit den Lebensmitteln ist schon aussergewöhnlich hier in Kuba und dies hätte ich nie erwartet.
