Because we leave the mountains it becomes significantly warmer but on this side of the mountains still a little rainy season, but will be finished soon. We go to Flores and look for a room. The prices for accommodation are quite high here and we are looking for the cheapest hotel. It is next to the main road but the noise is kept within limits. At night, we notice that it is still very noisy. Because of the noise I do not sleep well. The next day we go to Tikal, respectively only up to the ticket corner. $ 20 entrance fee is a bit much and too much for us. We decide to not visit Tikal. It is not the first boycott I make because of too high prices. We go to the next village and go to a hotel that was recommended to us. We decide to stay here, because it is much quieter, beautiful and cheaper. But this means I have to drive 25 km back to Flores to pick up the entire luggage. Francesca meanwhile remains in Le Remate because Leonardo does not feel so well. In the old hotel look a bit weird, as we have said in the morning, we stay one more night. But in such situations, I can just speak Swiss German J I’m going back and we enjoy the quiet, but worries us that Leonardo do not feel good and get some fever …\n\n **********************\n\n Wir verlassen die Highlands und haben den Südlichsten Punkt erreicht und fahren wieder nach Norden. Dank dem wir die Berge verlassen wird es deutlich wärmer aber auf dieser Seite der Berge ist immer noch ein wenig Regenzeit, die aber jetzt zu Ende geht. Wir fahren nach Flores und suchen uns ein Zimmer. Die Preise für Übernachtungen sind ganz schön hoch hier und wir suchen das günstigste Hotel aus. Es ist neben der Hauptstrasse aber der Lärm hält sich in Grenzen. In der Nacht merken wir, dass es doch ganz laut ist. Entsprechen habe ich nicht gut geschlafen. Am nächsten Tag gehen wir nach Tikal, resp. nur bis an die Kasse. 20$ Eintritt ist ganz schön happig und zu viel für uns. Wir entscheiden Tikal nicht zu besichtigen. Es ist nicht der erste Boykott den ich wegen unverschämter Preise mache. Wir fahren ins nächste Dorf und gehen in ein Hotel dass uns empfohlen wurde. Wir entscheiden, um zu ziehen. Dies bedeutet, ich muss 25 Kilometer zurück nach Flores fahren um alles Gepäck zu holen und um ein zu kaufen. Francesca bleibt unterdessen in Le Remate, da sich Leonardo nicht so wohl fühlt. Im alten Hotel schauen sie etwas komisch, da wir am Morgen gesagt haben, wir bleiben noch eine Nacht.
