I make a brief check and decide to move on. It seems that the clutch is ok but from 4000 rpm ridiculous vibrations and noise appears. So I drive only slowly. Unfortunately, the weather is getting worse and soon it begins to rain. We decide to stop and stay at the next hotel. As is so comes naturally no longer a hotel and we have to drive over a pass. The road is getting worse and steeper. But I will not ride too slowly and because then I need the clutch. So I drive in first gear, but a bit faster. Since the road, meanwhile, has deep potholes and it shakes Francesca in the sidecar around violently. It is amazing that Leonardo is still asleep and it seems he likes the bumpy road. Unfortunately, the rain becomes stronger and the mud deeper. Through the rain, most potholes are filled with water and you cannot see how deep they are. Since there are so many, I cannot many times avoid them and it shakes the whole motorbike with sidecar through. The ride takes over an hour until we finally have solid ground under their feet. Meanwhile, it is already dusk, I’m wet and it’s cold. I will only go to a hotel and sleep …\n\n **********************\n\n Wir fahren weiter und schon bald habe ich das Gefühl dass die Kupplung schleift. Ich mache einen kurzen Check und entscheide noch etwas weiter zu fahren. Es scheint, dass die Kupplung hält aber ab 4000 Umdrehungen komische Vibrationen und Geräusche entstehen. Also nur noch langsam weiter. Leider wird das Wetter immer schlechter und bald beginnt es leicht zu regnen an. Wir entscheiden beim nächsten Hotel zu stoppen und zu übernachten. Wie es so ist kommt natürlich kein Hotel mehr und wir müssen noch über einen Pass fahren. Die Strasse wir auch immer schlechter und steiler. Ich will aber nicht zu langsam fahren und ständig die Kupplung brauchen. So fahre ich zwar im ersten Gang aber etwas schneller. Da die Strasse unterdessen tiefe Schlaglöcher hat schüttelt es Francesca im Seitenwagen heftig herum. Erstaunlich ist, dass Leonardo immer noch am Schlafen ist und es scheint ihm gefällt die holprige Strasse. Leider wird der Regen stärker und ein tiefer Matsch aus Lehm fordert mich. Durch den Regen sind die meisten Schlaglöcher mit Wasser gefüllt und man kann nicht sehen wie tief sie sind. Da es so viel gibt, kann ich viele male nicht mehr ausweichen und es schüttelt den ganzen Töff mit dem Seitenwagen durch. Das ganze dauert über eine Stunde, bis wir endlich wieder festen Boden unter den Füssen haben. Mittlerweile ist es schon am Eindunkeln, ich bin Nass und es ist kalt.
