Steph is just on a fantastic travel around the world and she wants to ride on all continents of the world (she got Antarctica already!). Right now she’s is traveling with Shan from New Zealand and together they ride Mexico up. It’s fantastic how this woman has managed to ride the motorcycle in Antarctica without there being streets there and she had no idea how she comes back to South America. A very motivating meetings and it proves once again that for an “Around the World Tour” a small motorbike is a super choice for. In addition, the Red Honda CRF 250 also looks great. I wish Steph and Shane all the best and safe travel. (http:\/\/www.stephmoto-adventurebikeblog .com)\n\n Ernesto organizes a meeting in a private motorcycle museum in Guadalajara. We are received from the ‘Motorrad Fedederacion Mexico’ and we get member as ‘International Ambassador’ of the Federation. Wow! In a nice ceremony we get a certificate and an identity card. Thanks to all for the unique membership and that we got to know all of the great people.\n\n The next day I decided to check the suspension of motorbikes. For some time, the suspension feels no longer well. This I had been to Australia and have to do a service. Ernesto help me to find a suitable mechanic and I go to a Frenchman who worked in the Dakar Rally as a mechanic, he rode for the Sidecar Motocross World Championship and has been traveling with a 50cc motorbike through Africa. It quickly becomes clear that the shock has an oil leak. The mechanic changes the X-ring and refill oil. However, the suspension is still too weak and the next day we change the shims and use thick oil. I’m mounting a protective sheath around the spring so that no more dirt destroys the x-ring. In addition we change the front springs and note that the bush slider are completely worn out. So the work continues and I order one time more some spare parts.\n\n **********************\n\n Da wir mit Leonardo nicht so flexible sind, kommt Steph zu uns. Steph ist gerade auf einer fantastischen Reise unterwegs und sie will auf allen Kontinenten der Welt fahren (Antarktis hat sie schon!). Ich finde es fantastisch wie diese Frau es geschafft hat mit dem Motorrad in der Antarktis zu fahren ohne dass es dort Strassen gibt und sie keinen Plan hatte, wie sie wieder zurück nach Südamerika kommt. Ein sehr motivierendes Treffen und sie beweist einmal mehr, dass für eine ‚Rund um die Welt Tour‘ ein kleines Motorrad eine super Wahl ist. Zudem sieht die Rote Honda CRF 250 auch toll aus. Vielen Dank an alle für die einzigartige Mitgliedschaft und dass wir all die tollen Leute kennen lernen durfte.\n\n Am nächsten Tag will ich die Federung des Töffs unter die Lupe nehmen. Seit ei***** Zeit fühlt sich die Federung nicht mehr gut an. Dies hatte ich bereits in Australien und muss einen Service am Federbein machen. Ernesto hilft mir einen geeigneten Mechaniker zu finden und ich gehe zuerst zu einem Franzosen, der an der Dakar Rallye als Mechaniker teilgenommen, Seitenwagen Motocross Weltmeisterschaft gefahren hat und mit einem 50ccm Motorrad durch Afrika gereist ist. Schnell wird klar, dass wegen eines Öl Leck kein Öl mehr im Federbein ist. Der Mechaniker wechselt den X-Ring und füllt wieder Öl ein. Die Federung ist aber immer noch zu schwach und am nächsten Tag wechseln wir die Shims und benutzen dickflüssiges Öl. Ich mache noch eine Schutzhülle und die Feder damit kein Dreck mehr den x-Ring verletzt. Bei der Vordergaben wechseln wir die Federn und stellen fest, dass die Führungsbuchsen komplett abgenutzt sind.
