Now, we made more than 1800 kilometer, the peninsula down and reach the end of the peninsula. This means that we can’t ride further. Well, for sure there is a way, go back to the north or take the ferry. We opt for the ferry and try to buy tickets. This is once again a more complex matter: I go first to the Office of the operating company that asks me if I have the permit. Yes I have. Then she wants to passport that I forgot at the hotel. I’m going back again and bring all documents. Then she says that this is the permit for Visa said, but not for the vehicle. Since I have none, I have to drive to the port and buy a. Since I do not know where I want, I go first in the port area where someone helps me and shows the correct way to the office. Then I have to pay 25 Peso for parking!!! The Office I find then very quickly, but have to wait half an hour until someone comes along. The wife is very helpful and provides all the necessary documents. But she still needs copies of the passport and vehicle registration. For this purpose, I have to give to another office and they make the copies. Then I want to buy a ticket and have to go to the harbor area again. The pretty woman at the counter said that I have to bring the motorbike on the scales first. They want to weigh and ask for 77 pesos!!! Well, back to buy the tickets. Unfortunately, then she charged me too much on the credit card and has to pay out the difference in cash. But this is ok. Since I have the tickets I will immediately go back. But because I’m in the harbor area, I come out only through the official exit. This means it’s like a border crossing and I have to pass, police and military check point. Unfortunately, just a ferry arrived and a huge traffic jam has formed. That means waiting… When police control they ask for the documents, but I do not trust them and give them only copies. Amazingly, they accept the copies. At the military check point I can tell him that I had just bought tickets and have not arrived by ferry. So they let me pass. At the end there’s a Bio-Security and spray something to the tire. I make him clear don’t spray my bike, because of course the will also money. Then I drive back to the hotel to rest. Time to buy tickets: 6 hours!\n\n **********************\n\n Wir müssen zum Schluss nochmals 200 Km fahren, damit wir La Paz erreichen. Sind nun über 1800 Kilometer die Halbinsel heruntergefahren und das Ende der Halbinsel erreicht. Dies bedeutet, dass es nicht mehr weiter geht. Nun gut, es geht natürlich schon weiter, aber nur mit der Fähre oder zurückfahren. Wir entscheiden uns für die Fähre und versuche gleich Tickets zu kaufen. Dies ist wieder einmal eine Aufwändigere Sache:\n\n Ich gehe als erstes ins Office der Betreibergesellschaft, die mich Fragt ob ich das Permit habe. Ja, habe ich. Dann will sie den Pass, den ich im Hotel vergessen habe. Ich fahre nochmals zurück und bringe alle Dokumente. Sie meint dann, dass sie nicht das Permit für das Visa meint, sondern das für das Fahrzeug. Da ich keines habe, muss ich an den Hafen fahren und eines kaufen. Da ich nicht weiss wohin ich will, fahre ich zuerst in das Hafengelände wo mir aber jemand hilft und mir den richtigen Weg aus dem Gelände zeigt. Dann muss ich für 25 Peso Parken!!! Das Office finde ich dann schnell, muss aber eine halbe Stunde warten bis jemand vorbeikommt. Die Frau ist sehr hilfsbereit und stellt alle nötigen Dokumente aus. Sie braucht aber noch Kopien des Pass und Fahrzeugausweises. Dazu muss ich in ein anderes Büro und die Kopieren abgeben. Danach will ich ein Ticket kaufen und muss dazu ins Hafenareal. Die hübsche Frau am Schalter sagt, dass ich zuerst den Töff auf die Waage bringen muss. Um zu wägen wollen sie 77 Peso!!! Nun ja, wieder zurück und die Tickets kaufen. Leider bucht sie mir zu viel auf die Kredit Karte und muss mir die Differenz bar ausbezahlen. Ist aber ok so. Da ich die Tickets habe will ich sofort zurück fahren. Da ich aber im Hafengelände bin, komme ich nur über den offiziellen Ausgang raus. Dies bedeutet wie beim Zoll, Polizei und Militärkontrolle. Unglücklicherweise ist gerade eine Fähre angekommen und es hat sich ein riesen Stau gebildet. Das heisst warten und warten. Bei der Polizeikontrolle fragen sie nach den Dokumenten, doch ich traue ihnen nicht und gebe ihnen nur Kopien. Erstaunlicherweise geben sie sich damit zufrieden. Bei der Militärkontrolle kann ich ihm erklären, dass ich nur Tickets gekauft habe und nicht mit der Fähre angekommen bin. So lassen sie mich gleich passieren. Am Schluss gibt’s noch eine Bio-Security und einer Sprüht irgendein Mittel an die Reifen. Ich mache ihm gleich klar, nicht mit mir, denn der will natürlich auch wieder Geld dafür. Danach fahre ich wieder ins Hotel um aus zu ruhen.
