  • Changed front brakes, new seals fitted, new brake oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • New front tire mounted, balanced wheel<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Big maintenance, adjust valves, oil changes, plug change<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Cleaned the carburetor, choke cable replaced, repaired spring for choke.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Replaced all coolant hoses<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Replaced steering bearings<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n After all the work I really need a break. Instead, we go back on the road and continue north. The fact that I changed the steering bearings, the bike runs almost by itself. So I let Francesca also once again drive.
    In Kaitaia a Maori family invited us for a few nights to spend in their home. On the very first night they had a family reunion, eat together and make some games. So we spend a great evening with Lisa, William and her family.
    The next day the weather is not great and I spend all day and sleep to recover from the motorbike works. Will I need more days to recover?\n\n **********************\n\n Nachdem ich 4 Tage lang Service und Reparaturarbeiten am Bike gemacht habe, Läuft der Töff nun wieder. Erledigte Arbeiten:

    • Vorderbremsen gereinigt, neue Dichtungen montiert, Bremsen Öl gewechselt<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Neuer Vorderreifen montiert, Rad ausgewuchtet<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Grosser Service, Ventilspiel einstellen, Öl Wechsel, Kerzen Wechsel<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Vergaser gereinigt, Choke Kabel erneuert, Feder für Choke repariert.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Sämtliche Kühlwasserschläuche ersetzt<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Lenklager ersetzt<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n Nach der vielen Arbeit brauche ich dringend eine Pause. Stattdessen fahren wir wieder und fahren weiter in den Norden. Dadurch dass ich das Lenklager gewechselt habe, fährt es sich fast von alleine. So lasse ich Francesca auch wieder einmal fahren.\n\n In Kaitaia hat uns eine Maori Familie eingeladen um einige Nächte in ihrem Haus zu verbringen. Gleich am ersten Abend haben sie ein Familientreffen, essen gemeinsam und machen einige Spiele. Wir können so einen tollen Abend mit Lisa, William und ihrer Familie verbringen.\n\n Am nächsten Tag ist das Wetter nicht so toll und ich verbringe den ganzen Tag mit schlafen und mich von den Töff Arbeiten zu erholen. Werde ich noch mehr Tage zur Erholung brauchen?\n
