The ride is ok but nothing special, although I try to travel as much as possible in the mountains. Then we take the ferry and cruise comfortably with strong winds on the North Island. There we have to look where we get an accommodation. I just receive an email that we can stay with a German couple. They have invited us, even though we have not met before. Great! I had previously expected a lot of bad and cold weather in the South Island. But we had all the time good luck, it’s never rains while driving. The temperatures were even up to 30 degrees. Let’s see how long we can continue without rain.\n\n **********************\n\n Nach erholsamen Tagen verlassen wir Paul und fahren wieder in die Berge und weiter nach Norden. Die Fahrt ist ok aber nichts spezielles, obwohl ich versuche so viel wie möglich in den Bergen zu fahren. Dann nehmen wir die Fähre und cruisen bei viel Wind gemütlich auf die Nordinsel. Dort müssen wir schauen wo wir eine Unterkunft kriegen. Da erhalte ich die E-Mail, dass wir bei einem deutschen Pärchen übernachten können. Sie haben uns eingeladen, obwohl wir uns vorher noch nicht getroffen haben. Super!\n\n Ich hatte zuvor mit viel schlechtem und kühlem Wetter auf der Südinsel gerechnet. Wir hatten aber die ganze Zeit viel Glück, da es an keinem einzigen Fahr-Tag geregnet hat. Die Temperaturen waren sogar bis zu 30 Grad.
