Still shocked by the high prices, we try to buy cheap and look for discounts. While we wait for the appointment with the quarantine inspector, we see if we can buy a Tablet PC for Francesca (as a replacement for the stolen phone). Unfortunately we have not yet succeeded. Either, too expensive or a too old device. Then someone steal our toiletry bag and in our dorm, it is extremely noisy due to parties in the bar. We change the room, but still have no quite, because the two girls in the room come home later in the night with male company. Next I find the key for the bike not more, in Darwin there is nothing to see at and I’m not fine with drunken Aborigines who hang out in the park. \n\n Luckily the weekend is over and I have the appointment with the quarantine inspector. He searches for half an hour with a flashlight and has nothing to complain about at the end. Uff. Now, only the customs stuff and paper work with the logistic company. We need each time to wear it to the port area and helmet and safety vest. We are always accompanied by an employee who makes us aware that we need to walk within the marked paths! In the end everything is ok and we can start driving again.\n\n **********************\n\n Der Start in Australien verläuft für uns nicht gut. Immer noch geschockt von den hohen Preisen, versuchen wir jeweils günstig einzukaufen und auf Rabatte zu schauen. Während wir auf den Termin mit dem Quarantäneinspektor warten, schauen wir ob wir ein Tablet PC für Francesca kaufen können (als Ersatz für das Gestohlene Telefon). Leider sind wir bisher nicht erfolgreich. Entweder viel zu teuer oder ein zu altes Gerät.\n\n Dann wird uns das Necessaire gestohlen und in unserem Dorm ist es wegen der Partys in der Bar extrem laut. Wir wechseln das Zimmer, haben aber immer noch keine Ruhe, da die 2 Girls im Zimmer zu später Stunde mit männlicher Begleitung heimkommen.\n\n Weiter finde ich den Schlüssel für den Töff nicht mehr, in Darwin gibt es nichts an zu schauen und ich fühle mich nicht wohl mit besoffenen Aborigines, die im Park rumhängen.\n\n Zum Glück ist das Wochenende vorbei und ich kann den Termin mit dem Quarantäne Inspektor war nehmen. Es sucht eine halbe Stunde lang mit der Taschenlampe und hat am Schluss nichts zu beanstanden. Uff. Jetzt nur noch der Zoll und Administrative beim Logistikunternehmen. Dafür müssen wir jedes Mal ins Hafengelände und Helm und Warnweste tragen. Wir werden dabei immer von einem Mitarbeiter begleitet, der uns darauf aufmerksam macht, dass wir innerhalb der markierten Wege laufen müssen!
