| \n \n\n Race with the time \/ Rennen mit die Zeit Dili, Timor-Leste <\/div>\n\n\n <\/td>\n\n\n <\/tr>\n\n\n<\/table>\n\n\nDili, Timor-Leste<\/b>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8.8.2014 Dili, East Timor Km: 71272 Race with the time \/ Rennen mit die Zeit\n\n We are starting before sunrise, pack and drive off. The goal is to reach at least the border to East Timor and reach Dili if possible. Without stress, we are making good progress and reach the border. At the boundary gives us a man the customs declaration and says “one dollar”. I say “no” and he “äähhh, ok”. I’m surprised, because other times they ask more energetic for money. Therefore, the declaration was already filled, not bad. But I still check if the crosses are made in the right place. Because we are early, we continue and see that it is possible to reach Dili today. And actually we reach the capital of East Timor at 6 o’clock. The next morning, I go first to the operating company to clarify whether I can load onto the ship. The woman tells me, yes, because the ship is delayed and will initially depart next week. Then I have enough time and we did not have to stress so. But we still make an appointment for Friday 14:00 and I start to wash the motorbike and camping equipment, because this the Australian Customs wants. 1 ½ days we worked hard and now almost finish. Suddenly I receive a mail from the operator that I have to come at 13:30 to load bike today, because the schedule of the vessel has changed. I think why the stress due to a half hour? Everything is cleaned and packed and so I loading the bike in the container. Uff. From now on, I can relax. \n\n In the hostel, I realize that I have a confusion with the days of the week and thought I must be completed in 1 ½ days, although we agreed on Friday (which is 2 ½ days). If I had planned properly, I would have missed the ship! We had a very lucky that I could still loaded in time the motorbike. We were also lucky with all the ferries in Indonesia and never had to wait long. I heard from other travelers that they had to wait for a ferry up to a week. I am happy that all went so well and we were able to pass through Indonesia in record time. After the stress, now I need to rest a couple of days before the next big chapter on my journey starts….\n\n **********************\n\n Wir stehen noch vor Sonnenaufgang auf, Packen und fahren los. Ziel ist es mindestens die Grenze zu nach Osttimor zu überschreiten und wenn möglich Dili zu erreichen. Ohne zu stressen kommen wir gut voran und erreichen die Grenze. An der Grenze gibt uns ein Mann die Zolldeklaration und sagt „one Dollar”. Ich sage „nein“ und er „ahhh, ok“. Da bin ich baff, da sie sonst energischer nach Geld fragen. Dafür war die Deklaration schon ausgefüllt, not bad. Ich habe aber trotzdem geprüft ob die Kreuze am richtigen Ort gemacht wurden. Da wir einen Vorsprung auf die Zeitplanung haben fahren wir weiter und sehen, dass es möglich ist Dili heute zu erreichen. Und tatsächlich erreichen wir gegen 6 Uhr die Hauptstadt von Osttimor. \n\n Am nächsten Morgen gehe ich als erstes zur Betreiber Firma um zu klären ob ich auf das Schiff verladen kann. Die Frau sagt mir, ja, denn das Schiff hat Verspätung und wird anfangs nächster Woche abfahren. Dann habe ich ja genügend Zeit und wir hätten nicht so stressen müssen. Wir machen aber trotzdem einen Termin für Freitag 14:00 und ich starte den Töff und das Camping Equipment zu waschen, da dies der Australische Zoll so will.\n\n 1 ½ Tage lang schuften wir unermüdlich und sind fast fertig. Da empfange ich ein Mail vom Betreiber, dass ich unbedingt heute um 13:30 vorbeikommen muss, da sich der Fahrplan des Schiffes geändert hat. Ich denke, warum der Stress wegen einer halben Stunde. Alles ist gereinigt und gepackt und so verlade ich den Töff pünktlich in den Container. Uff. Von nun an ist ausruhen angesagt.\n\n Im Hostel merke ich, dass ich mit den Wochentagen ein durcheinander habe und dachte ich müsse in 1 ½ Tagen fertig sein, obwohl wir am Freitag abgemacht haben (was 2 ½ Tage sind). Hätte ich richtig geplant, hätte ich das Schiff verpasst! Wir hatten ein riesen Glück dass ich den Töff noch rechtzeitig verladen konnte.\n\n Wir hatten auch Glück mit allen Fähren in Indonesien und mussten nie lange warten. Von anderen Reisenden hörte ich dass sie bis zu einer Woche auf eine Fähre warten mussten.\n\n Ich bin glücklich dass alle so gut geklappt hat und wir in Rekordzeit Indonesien durchqueren konnten.
