| \n \n\n Fun day \/ Unterhaltsamer Tag Moreh, India <\/div>\n\n\n <\/td>\n\n\n <\/tr>\n\n\n<\/table>\n\n\nMoreh, India<\/b>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n19.2.2014 Moreh, India Km: 50791 Fun day \/ Unterhaltsamer Tag\n\n \n\n Late in the evening we find in Guwahati a room in an expensive hotel. Then two days to relax and prepare for the next days. We meet another Belgian couple and we make off together to drive to Moreh. The first day is very relaxing, less traffic and good roads are available. Towards evening, I feel that something is wrong with the tire and no air inside anymore. I pump up the tires and drive on, as I hope it hold to the next town. But I have to inflate 4 times more. We arrive already to late in the evening and all restaurants have been at 19:00, so we cook something in the room. The next day I have to repair the tire first. The Belgians drive off already, as we overtake them somewhere for sure. \n\n While fixing I found 3 holes, but I all can fix. Then we drive and I notice that the speedometer no longer works. So once again take the tool in the hand. A few miles later, the fender is loose again and I get to the 3rd Time dirty fingers. In Imphal I do not want that Francesca with speaks with someone who claims to be from Government and asks for a permit. This has made acidic, so she barely talks to me. Let’s see how many coffee I have to cook for her, that the mood is better. \n\n \n\n We spend the afternoon in beautiful countryside and driving in hilly terrain in beautiful weather. Disturbing are the many checkpoints and controls. There are a lot of military and police, which shows that the situation in the North East of India is better, but still not normal. In Moreh later we meet again Kevin and Kitty. They had catch a nail in the morning and also had to fix the tire. We learn that 2 days ago 2 Indians were disappeared and many shops and restaurants are closed in protest. Also, the borders were closed and we do not know whether we can continue tomorrow. \n\n **********************\n\n Spät am Abend finden wir in Guwahati noch ein Zimmer in einem teuren Hotel. Dann ist 2 Tage relaxen und vorbereiten angesagt. \n\n Wir treffen noch ein belgisches Paar und wir machen ab, gemeinsam die Stecke nach Moreh zu fahren. Der erste Tag ist sehr entspannend, da kaum Verkehr und gute Strassen vorhanden sind. Gegen Abend fühle ich, dass etwas mit dem Reifen nicht stimmt und kaum noch Luft drin ist. Ich pumpe den Reifen auf und fahre weiter, da ich hoffe es reicht bis in die nächste Stadt. Im muss jedoch noch 4 Mal mehr aufpumpen. Wir kommen dadurch erst spät an und es haben um 19:00 schon alle Restaurants geschlossen, so dass wir im Zimmer was kochen.\n\n Am nächsten Tag muss ich zuerst den Pneu reparieren. Die Belgier fahren schon los, da wir sie sicher irgendwo einholen. Ich finde gleich 3 Löcher, kann aber alle flicken. Danach fahren wir und ich stelle fest, dass der Tachometer nicht mehr geht. Also nochmals das Werkzeug in die Hand nehmen. Einige Kilometer später ist das Schutzblech wieder lose und ich bekomme zum 3. Mal dreckige Finger. In Imphal will ich nicht, dass Francesca mit einem spricht, der sich als jemand vom Government ausgibt und nach einem Permit fragt. Dies hat sie sauer gemacht, so dass sie kaum noch mit mir spricht. Mal sehen wie viele Kaffee ich für sie kochen muss, damit die Stimmung wieder besser wird.\n\n Den Nachmittag verbringen wir in einer herrlichen Landschaft und fahren in hügeligem Gelände bei herrlichem Wetter. Störend sind die vielen Checkpoints und Kontrollen. Es gibt hier viel Militär und Polizei, was zeigt, dass die Situation im Nordosten von Indien zwar besser, aber noch nicht normal ist. In Moreh treffen später Kevin und Kitty auch noch ein. Sie haben am Morgen ein Platten eingefangen und mussten auch noch den Reifen reparieren. Wir erfahren, dass vor 2 Tagen 2 Inder entführt wurden und viele Geschäfte und Restaurants aus Protest geschlossen sind.
