But, we find out that food and accommodation in Nepal is also cheap. On the road to KTM (Kathmandu), we must drive over a 2.500 meters above sea level high pass and already at the foot of the mountain the chain thinning a lot. If I reach it at least to the pass, I can on the other side let down roll and let go with a truck to KTM. The chain holds from the perceived 1000 curves onto the pass yet, but I feel with each turn of the chain a hit. Until we reach the main road it goes uphill again and I drive very carefully. So we reach the main road and have to eat properly again much dust as the road is from the bottom drawer. To my amazement, we reach KTM with the worn chain. Uff. To change the chain is no longer the first priority, because I need 3 new Visa. A new for India and this needs so its time. Then we go to the embassy of two other countries in Southeast Asia. It is still unclear how to reach Southeast Asia and if my spare parts have arrived…\n\n **********************\n\n Uns macht beiden das Umrechnen mit der neuen Währung noch etwas Mühe. So stellen wir fest, dass es auch in Nepal günstig ist zu übernachten und zu essen. Während der fahrt nach KTM (Katmandu) müssen wir einen 2500 MüM hohen Pass überwinden und bereits am Fusse des Berges dängelt die Kette ganz ordentlich. Wenn ich es wenigstens auf den Pass schaffe, kann ich auf der anderen Seite herunter rollen lassen und mit einem Lastwagen nach KTM fahren lassen. Die Kette hält die gefühlten 1000 Kurven auf den Pass noch aus, doch spüre ich bei jeder Umdrehung der Kette einen Schlag. Bis wir die Hautstrasse erreichen geht es nochmals bergauf und ich fahre ganz vorsichtig. So erreichen wir die Hauptstrasse und müssen wieder ordentlich viel Staub essen, da die Strasse von der untersten Schublade ist. Zu meinem Erstaunen erreichen wir KTM mit der verschlissenen Kette. Uff.\n\n Die Kette aus zu tauschen ist jetzt nicht mehr die erste Priorität, denn ich brauche 3 neue Visa. Ein neues für Indien und dies braucht so seine Zeit. Dann gehen wir noch auf die Botschaften von 2 weiteren Ländern in Südost Asien.
